Brilliant location in high end development

The property needed a deep clean (especially in the kitchen)and all the furniture is shabby and uncomfortable.

the view is exquisite . the apartment is very clean and well equipped.

On the upside, the warm water wasn’t working and the shower drain was completely clogged when we checked in, but was quickly fixed.

We stayed here for 4 nights mid December 2022. The area is a gated community and the apartment is located in a residential area, about a 20-30 min walk from downtown with the shops, supermarkets and restaurants. It feels safe and nice view from the balcony. However, we don’t recommend this apartment. In short: rude host, spend a little bit more and get a 5star hotel (it will save you the costs of beaches, taxis, Wi-Fi etc), the bed is rock hard and the place feels like it’s coming apart. Over all, the apartment feels old and dusty. Detailed review: - The bed is like sleeping on a rock, pillows are old and dirty and there was no real duvet (just a thin blanket and a thin extra blanket, so it got cold as we were there in December). - The apartment is very spartan; kitchen is not fully equipped or finished (no cutting boards, few pans, oven is sitting on the floor, lightbulbs are hanging in wires. - The furniture is old, broken and squeaky. The sun beds by the pool were broken. - We were informed that Wi-Fi comes at an extra cost of 40$ as we were already checked in. We got a local sim card instead, as it felt like the host was trying to hustle and felt greedy. - At this time of the year, you can find so many different options in El Gouna and Hurghada. If we would have added Wi-Fi to our stay, we would have paid more than we would at a 5 star resort with all inclusive. This apartment is not close to 5 stars. - We were checked in by the cleaner/maintenance guy who didn’t speak English, so there was no run through of the amenities or the property. There were no instructions or information about the common areas by the pool or about the area/local taxi number either. - Communication with property owner was not great; said that we were lying about when and how we had tried to contact them prior to our arrival. He/she had an bratty attitude every time we interacted and especially when I gave feedback about the standard of the place (poor).
