"A very expensive place for what it has to offer"

6.0

The best thing of the apartment is the agency that manages it: “Veraneo Cadiz”. We had a problem with the internet and they fix it very fast and professionally.

The beds. They were extremely uncomfortable all of them. ALL the mattresses need to be replaced. Also, although the add will say “an air conditioned apartment” please be aware that there is only 1 unit in the whole apartment: in the hallway. It needs at least one more unit. They will tell you that if you use fans is enough. DON’T BELIEVE THEM. There is nothing like when you are on vacation trying to sleep on a very hot night with an AC unit in the hallway and feeling the hot air from a fan in your face: NOT CONFORTABLE. IT is HOT in Chiclana, especially when “levante” is blowing, an extremely hot and humid air from the East. Unfortunately nowadays with global warming it is hotter than it used to be, and these days happen more often than not. When they built the majority of the apartments in Chiclana back in the day you didn’t really need air conditioning, now, unfortunately you NEED air conditioning, and more than one. Also, mosquito nets. Chiclana has a lot of mosquitos and if there were nets in windows you could open the windows at night. Landlords will tell you that it is a question of cost, but what they don’t realize is that if there were nets in windows people wouldn’t turn on the AC and landlords would save some money on electricity. The kitchen is missing A LOT of utensils. Pressure cooker had no handle nor rubber seal. Most of the pans are peeling on the bottom. Spatulas are either melted or handles are moving. I did appreciate the new shower, they removed the bathtub and replaced it with a big shower. However, this was senseless when the vinyl floor has bumps, like a hill, and the whole thing should have been replaced. All the fixtures are outdated, and the fan in the main bathroom is useless. I am guessing that was probably installed in the Expo of 1992, 30+ years ago. The thing is that if you are going to charge that amount of money the owner needs to invest on the property. It is not about changing the bathtub and you are done with the bathroom.
