Papaya Cottage Punta del Hidalgo La Azócar

Papaya Cottage was very comfortable. We slept really well on a lovely bed. Beautiful garden. Property was great for the two of us. Very quiet, easy to relax, read a book as well being able to walk down to the town and enjoy all amenities and the sea front. Nayra was more than helpful with ideas and information of places to visit in the area. If you want a low key break in an authentic Spanish seaside town then you will enjoy Punta del Hidalgo. Car advised and be aware you are on the coast surrounded by steep hills which in our opinion give it character.

Ce fut un plaisir de séjourner 5 nuits au papaya cottage tant pour le charme de la maison, le confort, le chant des oiseaux, la discrétion de Nayra et Victor bien qu’a l’écoute de façon à ne manquer de rien . En résumé, la classe.

Attention à ne pas manquer le portail d’entrée, la rue en pente raide ne permet pas de faire demi tour , les explications étaient claires mais fatigue aidant , je suis allée trop loin ….

Charming place in pretty rural setting

Das kleine Cottage ist wunderbar um eine Woche zu entspannen und den Norden und vor allem Nordwesten der Insel zu erkunden. Einige tolle Wandertouren kann man direkt von hier aus beginnen aber ansonsten kann man die Ruhe inmitten von Papaya-Plantagen genießen. Wir wurden vor Anreise von der Vermieterin kontaktiert und bekamen bereits alle wichtigen Infos zum self-checkin. Dennoch wurden wir von ihrem Partner begrüßt und dank Apps war auch die Kommunikation kein größeres Problem. Küchenequipment war für 2 Personen ausreichend vorhanden, selbst eine für die Induktionsplatten passende Bialetti war verfügbar.

Das Bett war aus unserer Sicht zu weich. Ansonsten kann man nichts negatives berichten. Grundsätzlich sollte man sich über die Fahrzeiten auf der Insel bewusst sein - Punta del Hidalgo ist das Ende der Strasse und man muss für Ausflüge immer einiges an Fahrzeit einplanen.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation in Tenerife. The owners were incredibly supportive and always available, offering plenty of helpful advice about the surrounding neighborhood. Their warm and attentive approach truly made our stay feel special. The property itself is in an excellent location for a relaxing holiday, with great access to hiking trails, natural swimming pools, cafés, and a supermarket. Compared to other accommodations, this one really stands out for the thoughtful facilities provided—everything from toilet paper to garbage bags was well stocked, which made our stay much more comfortable. Overall, we slept incredibly well and enjoyed the calm, peaceful atmosphere. We highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a quiet, well-located base in Tenerife with genuinely caring hosts.

The road to the property leads through quite steep and narrow street. Might not be convenient for every type of car.
