Excellent location with beautiful sunset every morning

We caught 3 mice and some cockroaches during our 3 day stay, toilet wasn't flushing when we arrived (mechanism fixed ourselves next day), electricity failed several times (cannot toast bread and fry egg at the same time), no microwave in flat. 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds, no double bed in flat.

All very easy once we'd made contact with the host on arriving in Lanzarote. Access was from 5 pm but she WhatsApp us to say she was there already so we went about 3 pm which was good. The place was comfortable and very clean. We had one problem with balcony window, fixed next day. Arrieta is a nice, quiet town which we like, short walk into town for shops, cafe etc, convenient. There is good swimming in a protected pool with a little beach by the harbour. The main Garita beach had red flags up because of big waves form the windy conditions although the life guard allowed you in to play in the waves up to waist deep. Rest of island is very accessible with a hire car, good parking. We were at the back but had good views into the volcanic interior and across to Arrieta.

The bathroom could do with some ventilation, none a the moment. A few extra implements and pots would be useful eg proper mugs for cups of tea instead of small cups, scissors. But these didn't effect the holiday.

Ideally located.

Callao 8 is located on the top floor therefore has the most outstanding views and fabulous terrace. Check in was brilliant due to the welcome from Matia and her husband, always there if needed. Worth their weight in gold and hopefully appreciated by the owners.

Property needs some updating. Bed’s not very comfortable. Bathroom could have been cleaner.

Great location, plenty of parking. Arrieta is lovely if you want peace and quiet and to avoid all the “English breakfasts” and that sort of tat. Good quality apartment in good order with everything you need. Generally prefer sea view but the Mountain View/afternoon sun was nice and only minutes to the sea. (Rooms 5,9,10 have Mountain View). Nice rain shower in bathroom.

Wifi was very weak, although with 5G coverage and EU roaming it wasn’t such an issue. Biggest issue was only being provided with one bath towel each for the holiday. Emailed the provided contact hotmail address to ask if we could get some fresh ones after 4 days, but no response. This would be my biggest suggestion for improvement - it would have been a 9 otherwise. If we stay here again we’ll bring spare towels! Single beds felt small and the pillows weren’t the best - managed without instead.

Good apartments for self catering. Mayte and colleagues who looked after the property were very much helpful and attentive. We arrived at 11 in the evening and Mayte was waiting for us to let us in. Good communications via whasup so we did not worry that something could go wrong. They made our stay easy and accommodated all our additional requests - thank you very much!

You could have a great holidays there if you know what you want.
