Mediterrani Studio - The Old Town

The apartment is in a great location in Tarragona. We stayed in February, so in the cooler months. We were lucky enough to be there for Carnivale, a wonderful treat. The street was quiet at night, even with Carnivale. The apartment met all our needs, is a lovely place to come home to at the end of a day.

You can not get more center of old town - roman ruins are visible from the balcony, old charm exists around every corner in the area. The space is comfortable and stylish and we loved the snacks that were provided - very thoughtful gesture. Everything worked great, including the washing machine, and check-in was a breeze. The hosts are very responsive and always attentive. We had a car so needed nearby parking and they let us know the options. Awesome outdoor parking area only a 8 minute walk away - cost 6 euro a day and was easy and secure. Tarragona was a pleasure to visit as we got to see the Castell competition, roman sites, experience Spain and Catalonia culture for the first time, and were even there during a local holiday week with parades and unique events happening.

This doesn't really count against the place in the ratings but is definitely something to look out for: we were there during a holiday weekend and some events (including 2 nights of concerts) happened right outside the apartment. Music one night was a disco and so loud the whole building shook from 11pm until 3am. We did not know this was going to happen but it really made the stay almost untenable and we only stayed under the hope that it wasn't going to be every night (which it wasn't). This is either something to really look out for when booking or maybe something the hosts might be able to warn people about. No other reviews mentioned it so I'm guessing it doesn't happen frequently. The church bells and activities outside otherwise were fine - even the bands parading by in the morning was enjoyable for us though it might not be for some.

Location was fabulous, in the heart of the old town, communication with owners was perfect, they couldnt be more helpful. The apartment was spotless, well laid out, full of character and many little extras, a perfect stay.

Loved it all

A really great location if you want to be in the old town. Very small and old houses with nearby appliances and small restaurants felt very safe. Oh, swear very pleasant, even though I never saw them.

How much everything was wonderful, except it could’ve used another blanket for cool nights.

I liked all the attention to detail. Great location. Everything wonderful.
