Steep hill and stairs to accommodation. Very little natural light. shower and toilet dark and dinghy with no tray in shower. unsafe for elderly. No privacy on patio. 3 flights of stairs to terrace. Host did not speak English so no communication. Glass brick which limited natural light.

Incredible views from the large roof terrace, large 3 bedroom apartment, fully equipped, fabulous location, spotlessly clean, just like home from home. We loved it so much that whilst we were there, we booked again for next year. The steps up may be a little steep but not long, we didn’t find that a problem. Excellent communication from the owners prior to travelling whilst there.

My experience with this property was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had on Booking. This was the fifth out of six accommodations in Gran Canaria for a father-daughter holiday with my four-year old. At the check-in, I was asked for my 4 year old daughter’s passport along with mine, and to sign a contract (though the other party hadn’t signed it), something none of the other hosts had asked. The lady who checked us in, who was not the host and didn’t speak any English, presented the apartment, including the bedsheets for the couch, as the apartment can host 4 adults. As it happened, we had an unplanned guest overnight, but since we were still below capacity and we didn’t even use the couch or its bedsheets, it didn’t occur to me that I should notify the host, late at night, that a second adult is spending the night in.

Surprise, surprise, the next morning I had a text from the host saying that another person who is not on the reservation had spent the night, that I should pay 60 euros more (20 per night) and that “a person” will come to charge me “during today”. It was at that point that I noticed the surveillance camera placed outside the door, but in such a way that it can also see inside the apartment, through the window above the door (see photos). I explained that our guest was a last-minute, unplanned thing that won't happen in all three nights of our reservations, and I pointed out to the host that he/she could politely ask for explanations instead of throwing accusations and overcharging us, and that spying on guests through surveillance cameras is not the way to treat them, and I demanded an apology. Instead, a surreal wave of text messages followed, threatening us that we'd be kicked out if we don’t pay the surcharge “within two hours” and even that the police will be called in. This prompted me to read the contract that I had signed at the check-in, and there were no mentions of an extra charge for visits or extra persons, but I agreed to pay the next day, to get out of this awkward situation that ruined one whole day of our precious holiday. A man came to the door the next day and I paid in cash, receiving no form of invoice or receipt. As a “bonus”, I noticed that on the shared terrace, another surveillance camera is pointed directly at the terrace shower (see photos). So, if you want to feel like you’re a protagonist of Big Brother and be treated like a criminal for having an unplanned guest, here’s your chance! If not, avoid this host at all cost!

Exceptionally clean apartment. Excellent location and lots of room for our family. Can definitely recommend to others.
