Finca Cortez

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Ernesto’s place, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. From the moment I arrived, Ernesto’s warm welcome made me feel right at home. What truly stood out was his unwavering commitment to even the smallest details. Ernesto’s obsession with ensuring his guests’ comfort was evident in every aspect of my stay. Whether it was the meticulously arranged room, the thoughtful amenities, or the personalized touches, he left no stone unturned. I can confidently say that I would choose to stay here again without a second thought. Ernesto’s dedication to creating a memorable and cozy environment is commendable, and it truly sets him apart as a remarkable host. Thank you, Ernesto, for making my stay exceptional!

The only issue we had was stagnant water at times in the shower, but this can be easily fixed. Aside from that, everything else was excellent.

Horst and Ernesto are amazing hosts -- they really made me feel at home. Everything was taken care of (extra water, blankets, flexible meal time, tea) and they were so kind to pick me up from the bus stop. This has become my newest favorite retreat. Will definitely come back!

A very nice location at the top of the mountain with a welcoming host. It is like a one room apartment, with everything you need in the kitchen. We were happy to pay extra for the breakfast with was delicious

The hosts are 2 amazing people... and the amazing they are, is visible in the marvellous place they offer to the guests: a little island of peace and beauty inside the Island of Gran Canaria!

Missed a bit of out door cooking

Our hosts Ernesto and Horst were very friendly with tips for hiking and visiting nearby towns. The breakfast was overflowing with lots of local produce (meats, cheeses, eggs, coffee, juice, fruit, yoghurt, bread) and dinner was healthy and delicious. Ernesto even makes his own cheese (very yummy!) and tofu! The garden is lovely (and provides fresh vegetables), the pool is a bit smaller but heated (by solar power), the apartment is very comfortable with essentials such as a fridge, fast wifi, comfy beds. Added bonus for animal lovers: the adorable cats and dogs to play and cuddle with, but the dogs stay in the pool area and the cats do not come inside the apartments.

The gravel road to the finca is perhaps a bit tricky for rental cars, but really that's the only thing.

The location of the place is great to disconnect in the middle of nature. The swimming pool and the garden are ideal to have some chill time and the hosts are especially welcoming. We got some homemade dinner and broccoli from the garden ! We definitely recommend the place, we wish we could have stayed one more night.
