Residencial Cotillo Playa

This was a nice apartment in a good location, close to El Cotillo beach, local shops and cafes. It was comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The swimming pool was a bonus especially on windy days.

However we had problems with flushing the loo which we reported on our first full day. (The cistern took about 15 minutes to fill to a height of about 6 cm which wasn't enough to clear the bowl after anything but a small wee. After a look on YouTube we diagnosed it as needing a new filter.) The owner claimed to have sent someone round and said it was working fine. It wasn't. We used a bucket, filled from the shower, to flush the toilet for the whole 10 days we were there. We messaged the owner 5 or 6 times during that period. Messages went unanswered. Another smaller problem was that the freezer hadn't been defrosted in a long time and regularly leaked onto the floor. There were a lot of noisy people staying in the apartments.

Good location 1 minute to the beach and pool at the back. Kitchen well equipped. Beds comfortable. We liked the front terrace and rear balcony overlooking the pool.

A welcome pack would be useful and it can be difficult to find as there is no name on the property or the block of apartments. No VV number so not Sue if it is legally registered for letting.

Well presented, clean apartment with two good bedrooms and two terraces, one partly covered. Pool area cleaned every day with sunbeds available.

It is cozy and spacious apartment with comfortable beds.

No cafeteria

Location was brilliant and we had everything we needed on doorstep. Apartment was a gem and nice and quiet. Couldn't fault it. So close to beach bars restaurants and supermarket.

Loungers by pool a bit hard

Super clean , comfy bed , decent shower , near the beach and supermarket and restaurants

The light switch / fan combo was a little annoying . A bit awkward to isolate one or the other from the main switch .

We really liked the appartment, it was in a lovely quiet part of town, close to some lovely restaurants and the beach. Really handy to have a washing machine but it took some figuring out to get it going. Instructions/manual would be great. The agent also allowed us to stay in the appartment for a few hours after our allocated time to leave whilst waiting for our transfer bus. We had both a front and rear terrace. It was really spacious.

We had to enquire from agent as to bin disposal, she did reply very quickly to be fair. A few things need updating in the appartment, new sofa needed and handle on door to children's bedroom is wonky.
