Casa-Mirador La Alhacena

The terrace and view, location.

We absolutely loved this place! It is a traditional house, centrally located and it has amazing views over the Alhambra. It is pretty big and displayed over 3 floors: bedroom, bathroom and kitchen on the first floor, living room on the second floor and terrace on the third floor. We only used the first floor and the terrace. It was also spotless clean. The lady taking care of it was really nice and she waited for us until 10 pm, even though the check-in is usually done until 9 pm. Just be aware that she doesn't speak English, so if you don't speak Spanish, Google Translate is your best friend.

The stairs to the terrace are pretty steep, but manageable if you are careful.

A lovely character-filled place with spectacular views of Alhambra - our main reason for visiting Granada. Nadia gave us a warm, informative welcome and made us feel right at home. It's a wonderful location and as such it is a busy, sometimes noisy spot but this does not take away from the convenience of being able to walk to restaurants, bars and shops.

It can be a bit noisy

Stellar location. Sleep on the upstairs foldout bed and one falls asleep with a view of the lit-up Alhambra, although the downstairs bedroom is very comfortable. There is also a little rooftop balcony if the view from the window is not enough. The apartment is charming and well equipped, but only accessible by foot along an uneven cobbled street and steps, which are slightly slippery, even when dry. Nadia the keymaster / caretaker is lovely and helpful, and stayed up late for our delayed arrival, but it is worth noting that she only speaks Spanish. Have your cash for the deposit ready when you arrive.

This a fantastic place in the old pedestrian part of Granada below the Alhambra. It is a local house with great facilities. We particularly like climbing up to the roof terrace and having an evening drink looking at the Alhambra under lights. The washing machine was also a big plus as we had been travelling for a while. Nadia was outstanding although we found WhatsApp and Google Translate was the best way to communicate. There is a neat Cafe nearby and a little square where locals meet in the evening to play music. This is a great place.

I did find the bed a little firm for my liking but everything else was great and really goood value

we loved the terrace the most!

there wasn’t anything that we thought was bad. if I have to choose something, I guess the bed could be more comfortable but still not bad.

Breakfast was not included. The Albaycin neighbourhood is very interesting although not easy to navigate with lots of narrow winding streets and many hills and steps to climb.

The house is very close to a mirador (view point) which can attract a lot of people and some evenings can be noisy with people playing music and talking loudly.

The location is absolutely amazing its a very little cute house we loved it

the living room with the balcony facing Alhambra was our favorite place of the house. the entire place is cozy, functional and in a great location. Nadia was a great host and even arranged our transportation for the checkout day.
