RK Farallón Canteras

It was pretty nice and clean. Close to the beach, restaurant and a small supermarket just a cross the street. A decent but small gym in the basement. About 5-10 min walk from Santa Catalina bus station which takes you to most places around the island. On the minus it's a bar right outside the hotel that is open until 6-7 in the morning. It was very noisy and they did'nt have any other rooms available where it was better to change for. It was also a lot of noise from the hallway since the door is thin which makes it necessary with earplugs if you wake up easily from noises.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with a friend. It is a really good place to stay very close to the beach and many bars/restaurants and shops close by. This is in a great location whatever you choose to do. The staff on reception were lovely and welcoming. We had a lovely surprise of an upgrade to a balcony room. The rooms were very spacious, well decorated with a decent sized bathroom with walk in shower. I would definitely visit this hotel again and highly recommend.

It was a surprisingly nice hotel and it exceeds my expectation to be honest. I booked two nights to stay in the Las Palmas city centre with easy access to Santa Catalina and Playa de Las Canteras. I did not expect fancy room, mega facilities, etc, but just needed a clean room for my stay. However, on arrival, the friendly and welcoming staff at reception allowed me to check in even before standard check in hour. The hotel was clean, new and refresh for me. The room was very new and very clean, with full kitchen facilities. You can cook small meals or make some snack during your stay if you like. It has a balcony with view of small alley/ narrow street of Las Palmas. There are also social working/ meeting space, laundry, sauna, gym facilities in the basement, which I did not have time to use. The air conditioning in the room is a plus and make you feel very cool and comfortable in hot weather. The hotel is in a very convenient place, with plenty of restaurants, bank/ ATM and shops nearby. Walking to the beach is under 5 minutes with more activities to offer. For public transport, Santa Catalina bus station is around 5 minutes away, where you can get buses to the airport, south part of the island and San Telmo Bus Station which is near the historical centre. Overall, I like this hotel and would certainly recommend it to you if you would like to stay in Las Palmas. Everything is so convenient and yet it was not noisy at night, as I had a very good sleep.

We booked this for a 7 night stay via Booking.com. It was selected as was in a convenient location for our needs. There are positives and negatives: Positives: > Polite, knowledgeable and friendly reception team available 24/7. > Clean room and common areas > Cleaners in alternate days, (albeit early) - so we put the "Do not Disturb"notice on the door. > Large, comfortable bed > Excellent shower, plenty of hot water. > Air conditioning (but we did not need to use it). > Good kitchen facilities, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee machine, kettle.
