Panoramico Playa de Altar I

The flat was a very nice size, and had everything we needed. It was comfortable and clean, and the underground parking with a lift made getting our things up into the flat really easy. It was a short drive to Foz which is lovely and has shops, beaches and walks. There were a couple of restaurants and a shop a short distance from the flat although we didn't use these. There was also a very nice beach just along the end of the road from the flats.

It was a shame the pool was not open, but we did go in mid October so we didnt expect it to be open. But that would be a nice addition for a summer visit. The wi-fi was unusable.

We arranged to meet our contact, Elia, at this big apartment block out of town, and she was friendly and efficient, showing us around. The block has a steep set of steps in front but our apartment had its own designated parking space in the block's underground garage with its lift up to the residential floors, so no problem moving stuff from car to apartment. Our apartment was a 2 bed one, with a spacious lounge/kitchen/diner, well equipped. Outside was a little balcony with table and chairs, and the apartment looked onto a vacant lot across the road, overgrown so very green and tranquil. There's a small supermarket about 3 miles away and plenty of beaches with fine white sand and rocky 'stacks' to explore.

The building was constructed two or three years ago so everything is new and clean. The apartment has a garage that is easy accessible using the elevator. There is a big balcony in the apartment.

Although the apartment is not small, somewhere there is not enough space: in order to open the fridge, you need to close the door to the living room; the door from the bedroom to the balcony also cannot be fully open.
