LEMON TREE VILLA

We had a fantastic week at Lemon Tree Villa. From the moment we arrived Yolanda and Pete were friendly, kind and helpful. They were there in a minute if we needed them, but we barely knew they were there most of the time. It felt like we had our own private oasis. The pool area is incredible, with so many thoughtful touches. The fridge, bar area, shower, Bluetooth speakers and shaded chill out spaces made it a wonderful space to relax and soak up the sun. The accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped for all our needs. The air conditioning unit in the living room was great, and in the bedrooms there were screens on the windows and fans which meant we could get a good night's sleep. The kitchen has everything you need and my husband particularly enjoyed the satellite TV so he could watch the Olympics in English. The location is quiet but within easy reach of Valencia. Pete kindly advised us on the best route to drive to a metro station. This is a wonderful place to relax and explore the stunning local area. The only negative is that we could only stay for a week.

We had a great time. The hosts were very hospitable and the facilities for our children (8 and 4 years old) were a really nice surprise. Archery, volleyball, tennis, and not to forget the large swimming pool! We chose this place to visit Valencia but spent more than half of the time in the villa grounds. Thank you Yolanda and Peter!

We loved our stay at the Lemon Tree Villa! Yolande & Peter are a lovely welcoming couple. We felt directly at home. Such a beautiful place they have! We miss them already and hope to see them again soon! Thank you for your hospitality and kindness!

Peter and Yolande made this place our home! They were so kind and helpfull. We had lovely stay at Lemon Tree Villa. And we hope to plan another holiday at Yolande’s and Peter’s little Paradise in the future.

Nice garden apart from very noisy frogs so I could not sleep the first night between the trafic, the frogs and the hits. The earplugs did not help the following night. I must have fallen asleep out of exhaustion. The pool has a good size but is overloaded with chlorine, our blond hair became green and my costume yellow. Same thing occurred to the pool towels supplied by the owner. Every time I left the pool I had to have a shower to go on the sun lounger as the chlorine was bad for the skin.

Apartment has a horrible foisty and damp smell. It hit my nostrils every time I entered the living area. It was that damp that the clothes, swimming costumes or towels would not dry overnight when left in the appartment. The wardrobes stink of damp. After a couple of days the clothes got impregnated with the smell. No air conditioning and the fans do not refresh the rooms. Very stuffy apartment and unpleasant to sleep and live in. There is a pathetic and extremely noisy mobile air conditioning unit which does not refresh the room. Cracked glass brick in the shower don't give any confidence. The cookery is on cheap scale, a single tea spoon kitchen and living room are uninviting. No dishwasher old pan, old cooker, no coffee machine (apart from a tiny Italian that most people don't know how to use these days. Thanks god my sister lent me a Dolce gusto one during my stay. This apartment has been furnished and equipped on the cheap scale and is not worth 180 euros a night. No sofa, cheap reclining armchairs. There are some nicer and cheaper places in Montserrat instead. We booked for a 5 night stay but had enough and left one night in advance as we felt so uncomfortable. Check out instructions are unclear, mentioned a safe box but we never found it so we had to leave the keys in the post box by the gate and received a very unpleasant email from the owner asking for the keys and threatening us of charging us for new gates locks. Owen did not answer at 8h30 am when we wanted to tell them we were leaving. They have entered the apartment in our absence to check on it when they did not know we had left. So it means that they have certainly been in the apartment when we were away. Parking is right in the sun no carport when you normally have one in Spain so it means that the car is left all day in the sun where as there is some shade at the back of the house which would be better for the car. I give a 2 because it has a big pool and sun loungers...

Fully equipped kitchen, very nice owners, beautiful pool and area around the pool.
