Loft. Old city (Happy Alicante)

the property is located in centre of the city, so everything is in a walkable distance. we enjoyed the option of having amazon prime streaming service. the sun umbrellas left by the entrance by previous customers (?).

first, the location is above a two floor night club without sound proofing, so you are on the stage of it from thursday till sunday. second, you get free pets for your stay - cockroaches. third, AC unit is not sufficient as you get an open floor plan apartment not a separate bedroom as the description leads you to believe. fourth, you water pressure was changing constantly, same as water leaking in the toilet. fifth, please get rid of the dermantine sofa as it is falling apart and leaves its traces on people sitting on it. this was out of the hands of renter but it would have been nice to know that during our stay there will be outdoor dj on the street that played five nights of our stay, so we couldn’t sleep. when we communicated this with the owner, the response was childish; stating that “that he sometimes has to go out as well when he doesn’t want want to and there is nothing he can do”.

Excellent location, amazing cozy apartment! There was everything we needed, bathroom and bathtub could be better as well as the light in the toilet. It is a bit loud and lively at night however it didn't bother us as we were so tired that we couldn't hear much 🤣

Jimmy was extremely helpful with the check in process with very clear information. Apartment was large and spacious with everything you need provided. Excellent location for all attractions, bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend

Nothing

The location is perfect for sightseeing right in the heart of Old Alicante. However you cannot get a car to it and you have to walk the last bit which didn't bother us at all. It was easy to find and access was straight forward. The studio room is great, really comfy bed and having a lounge area with Netflix was an added bonus! It was also helpful to know that if you arrive before 3pm check in you can take your bags to Coffee Nutz at the end of the street and they will look after them for you so we were able to enjoy our day. I informed Jimmy that we were there earlier and so he gave us access once the apartment was ready at 1pm. Reviews mentioned no hot water but it was lovely and hot, however we did work out that the tap is plumbed in wrong and so you have to turn it to cold to get the hot water!

For 4 of the 5 nights we stayed (Sunday -Weds) we slept relatively well in a really comfy bed. It was Holy Week and the processions through the streets and celebrations are on most nights but are usually finished by midnight. However on the Thursday night the nightclub below opened unexpectedly at about 12.30am and it was so loud that even with ear buds (which didn't make any difference as the bass was banging) we could not sleep at all (we thought is was only open on Friday and Saturdays and we were due to leave on Friday morning so expected it not to be an issue). We had an awful night, it is not just the vibrations and very loud music (which only stopped at 4.30am) but the people were right under our windows in the street below were so loud. We actually sat up all night it was that loud. We had to be up at at 5am anyway for the journey home so left feeling anything other than refreshed. One strange thing also was that happened was on the first day my husband made a cup of tea (there were filled tea, coffee and sugar pots next to the kettle) only find that the sugar pot has been filled with salt and the coffee pot with something that is definitely not instant coffee! He made me a cup of tea and I was sick as it was full of salt. Clearly someone's idea of a joke! In conclusion, I would recommend without doubt travellers from Sunday to Weds but not when the club is open below if you are expecting any sleep before 5am!

The stairs to the second floor and the shower water was tepid

Perfect location near to everything, only 10 min walk to the beach. Lovely little balcony, huge room, lovely comfy bed. Just the perfect city apartment.

The water was cold when we tried to have showers, but a quick message to the hosts and all was sorted very quickly

The noise!!! Saturday night was like having a bedroom in a nightclub. Letting agent not being honest about just how noisy and the warning given after payment taken. Water in shower erratic. Large window in bathroom with no blind and not a very nice outlook. Floor and rugs could have done with a brush.

Great location for the town and the beach just a short walk away. Ear buds provided for light sleepers 👍
