Apartamento centro casco antiguo Alicante

I like the location of the apartment which is situated near the tram station, air conditioning cum heater, the balcony, and kitchen. The building is also equipped with an elevator.

Nothing at all.

Location excellent for accessing old town, sea front, beach, restaurants, museums, market, and local bus service, including airport bus C6. The apartment itself was exceptionally clean, the bed comfortable, and the balcony large enough to sit out either side of a small table. We were pleased to find kitchen and bathroom cleaning products/cloths, dishwashing sponge and liquid, shower gel and good supply of toilet paper; also olive oil, salt and pepper, herbs and spices, instant coffee etc, left by previous holidaymakers.

There were some minor repairs needed: the extractor fan in the bathroom was not working, the basin did not drain well, and the basin's hot water tap flowed at a trickle (no problem with the cold water tap or the shower). Town plan, tourist information and written instructions for the Wi-Fi would have been welcome (though not a problem for us personally). The only thing we really did not like was the intensity of the street noise. Three roads met opposite the apartment, so there was a high level of traffic; and below us was the point where delivery vans serviced all the local shops, and where refuse trucks emptied the street bins day and night. In addition, the outdoor cafes and bars on the adjoining square were lively long after OUR bedtime!

The apartment is very central, with good beds, and excellent WiFi. They supply towels, and plenty of kitchen ware, and there are beach umbrellas left from previous visitors, which was very useful extra. We had 2 TVs, with local Spanish TV only, so we did not have any other language of TV. The decor is dated but very clean. Good sized bathroom, full sized fridge with freezer, pull-down bed in living room is comfortable.

The location is extremely noisy in the summer season, so bring earplugs, as the single glazed windows allow a lot of street noise . You will need earplugs, as party people shout outside until 4am most nights on their way home, and the bin trucks start at 6am, during summer season. (This is fine if you are one of the party people but it was too noisy for us). And it would probably be fine in the winter or spring season, to be fair.. On the positive side, you are extremely close to all the bars, night clubs and restaurants of the old town. The decor is a bit dated but it is extremely clean, so we are OK with this. No hot water in kitchen tap and no kettle, so you have to boil pots of water for tea or washing/cooking. Overall, I would strongly suggest double glaze windows to reduce the street noise levels.

Excellent location and great to have an outside balcony. Well equipped and comfortable apartment with easy access to the local sights, restaurants, shops and the coast.

A couple of basic kitchen appliances not available (kettle and toaster but nit picking). Hot water pressure in kitchen and WHB is low but being looked at.

Windows needed double glazing, very noisy, it went on into the early hours ie 4am
