BOULEVARD by SWEET HOME SAN SEBASTIAN

Beautiful and spacious apartment, well equipped and very well located. Nathaly who welcomed us was very helpful during our stay.

The location was excellent it was clean ,comfortable and a unique entrance.

Would have preferred air conditioning instead of the fans.

This large, comfortable and well-appointed apartment is in a wonderful location in the city, with easy walking distance to just about everything. Javier met us and gave us information not only about the apartment, but also about the city and the greater Basque area. He had made a booklet of his favorite tapas bars and restaurants - that was invaluable! There is a large laundry room in the apartment, as well as a drying rack. There was a lot of closet space, & there were plenty of hangers, a pet peeve of mine. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The hot water was sufficient, and the water pressure was good.

There was no AC - but most likely it is not needed, we just happened to be there during a sweltering heat wave. There were fans in every room, however. The lighting in the stairwell was very poor - we like to walk the stairs, and it was very dark in several areas. The flush mechanism on one of the toilets broke, and we had to work to get it pried up so that the toilet would stop running. A handle fell off in the shower, but we were still able to use it. The bed pillows were not comfortable.

Fantastic location, handy to shops, bus routes, etc. our host made some great recommendations for guided tours and restaurants. The apartment was lovely and comfortable. Beds we’re comfortable.

A few essentials on hand when we arrived would have been appreciated. (Milk, tea bags, coffee, sugar etc ) there was a little coffee but not enough for 6 people. We arrived very late in the evening through no fault of our own, drenched because we got caught in a downpour and a hot drink would have been very welcome. There needs to be a hand rail in the shower, it’s a slip and fall hazard, and the shower head needs repairs, it’s falling off the wall.

Light, spacious and modern. Opening out onto courtyard - v quiet, no noise from buzzy Main road at front. Fantastic location: 5-10 min walk to Zurriola beach for early morning swim. Next door to The Loaf bakery (selling delicious cheesecake), 5 min walk to start of hop on/off bus tour and beautiful Maria Cristina Hotel and main drag of pintxos bars and restaurants was also only 10 mins walk away. Most things were within walking distance. Greeted by Maria who explained everything, answered any queries we had and was available by text for the duration of our stay. We got the bus from Bilbao airport and the apartment was a very pleasant 15 min walk from Bus station along the river.

Everything was fine for us, as we are not beach worshippers or stayed for very long, but as the beaches are so beautiful, maybe a supply of beach towels would be handy (in these days of budget air travel where everyone has to travel light to avoid excess baggage fees!).

The location is excellent. The apartment was spacious and well fitted with modern/new furnishings. Good security. Quiet position facing an internal large courtyard

Some of the fittings were broken eg the soap dispenser in the kitchen, the shower tap in the master ensuite & the door lock in the second bathroom. There were no basic cooking items like salt & pepper.

We were a group of 5 girls on our yearly trip! We loved everything! A beautiful apartment in a perfect location, literally a walking distance to everything: shops, restaurants, beaches, supermarkets, hills! The staff was very helpful, both by email, phone and in person, we were impressed with the customer service. We were greeted in person when checking in, and received lots of good tips about what to do and where to eat and shop. This apartment is absolutely a great find!, highly recommended! There was a bus drivers' strike on our departure day, our host recommended a travel service where we could order a minivan to take us to the airport, this was also very reliable and greatly appreciated.

We loved everything!

This is a beautiful apartment in a wonderful building on the edge of the old town. It is clean and quiet but perfectly located for exploring the city. Javier met us at the apartment and gave us the low down on where to go and a tour of the apartment. He even sent me a copy of the train timetable as we had a booking at Casa Julian in Tolosa.

Having to leave this place after a few days of great food and wine was a real chore.
