Apartamento Barrocal by Cadiz Time

The apartment is very well organized and the space well used. It was clean and is insanely well located. At the office the staff was friendly and cooperative when we were about to arrive later than thought.

We travelled during the carnival, the room facing the main street might get noisy during carnival season.

Was just missing a chopping board and wine opener. The door was a little tricky to open

Beautiful apartment. Good facilities for washing, cooking, watching telly. Good air conditioning. Good location for the beach and the city centre but still quiet at night.

Neighbour moaned about us putting the clothes horse in the atrium, which would have been helpful in drying the clothes. The other neighbours had done it so figured it would be ok. He was pretty unpleasant about it too, so don't do it.

The location was great, easy to find and in an area where there was plenty to do. Very near the Cádiz Cathedral, about a 15 minute walk to La Caleta, which is a beautiful beach. also very close to the Central Market. Lots of restaurants and mini supermarkets nearby. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated with all the essentials you would need, fridge, washing machine, cleaning products, towels etc.

There was a slight smell of damp in the apartment, however there was a dehumidifier there. It filled up very quickly, but when we left it on it didn’t smell as damp. Towels were provided for our 4 day stay but it would have been good to have had them replaced after a couple of days. I did a clothes wash on the 2nd day and it took a long time for the clothes to dry on the clothes house. A drier would have been handy. The locks/keys are an absolute nightmare, you need to get the knack of how to open them to get into your apartment. Very frustrating as my husband was the only one that could open both doors. Finally, if you want a peaceful stay do not visit during Easter week!! The processions are super busy, very loud and some days go on until the early hours. We were not aware of the Semana Santa festival and will definitely not visit during this time again. it was interesting to see the processions but they are quite disruptive as they block roads and streets and there are a lot of people.

keys were impossible to use easily. Rubbish collected at 3am very loudly.
