Friendly welcome and communication with the owner via WhatsApp. Great position in the center of Callao Salvaje. Shops, restaurants, bars and a super market in short walking distance. Very spacious apartment with a splendid ocean view from the balcony. Parking space in the neighborhood available. Price was ok, too.

We really enjoyed our stay but found the apartment quite untidy and used up when we arrived. Wet laundry (sheets, duvet and cushion covers, towels) hung on a clothes airer on the balcony and we had to fold and clear the laundry once dry. Cabinets were full of stuff, too and needed to be tidied up in order to generate some space for our clothes. Furthermore, most of the apartment’s inventory appeared at the end of its life cycle or close. The washing machine was rusty and lost water drops through the soap dispenser during operation. Also the refrigerator, dishwasher as well as furniture on the balcony appeared used up or broken. The water boiler in the kitchen was connected to a dirty tube stained with algae and mold, leaking water into the kitchen sink. We also did not dare to use the oven due to its dirty appearance. The shower drain in the bathroom was clogged with hair and sand, and thus needed some clearance treatment in order to prevent water from flooding off the sink. A bit disappointing because Esmeralda could be a fantastic home if maintained and cleaned adequately.

Very spacious and clean apart, equipped with everything you need. Amazing ocean view. The hostess is very helpful and friendly. The sunsets are absoletely beautiful😊

Nothing

The apartment is at a perfect place, surrounded by many different restaurants. Right next to the apartment there is a supermarket open till 10 pm every day. The apartment is well equipped (kitchen, bathroom). The view to the ocean through the palm trees is amazing. You can witness wonderful sunsets as you sit on the balcony with a glass of drink in your hands.

Due to the surrounding restaurants the noise from the terraces and smell from the kitchens may be annying for some. For us it was not so bothering, because we always fell asleep easily after the exhausting and adventurous days. :) What I really missed were the chairs from the dining area. (There are two bar stools, but they are too high for the dining counter.)

The view from the balcony was the highlight of the flat. The kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed. The flat was clean, parking was available anytime on the streets nearby, interaction with the host was via WhatsApp, overall we had a good time.

In the bathroom we wished to have a bin and in the kitchen a list of how and where to take out the trash, but this are small details. Beach umbrella would had been a nice addition since we couldn't travel with it but that's just something we had before in another accommodation and found it as a nice touch.
