The location is fabulous! Great little supermarket for everything you might need and some lovely restaurants very close by - don't miss Mathilda for a breakfast while you're there! Beautiful views from the property and upstairs terrace - you also get to enjoy a nice ocean breeze so even though it was quite warm during our stay, we did not need the AC. Kitchen is well equipped with all necessary items to prepare meals at home.

As mentioned first in a review in March and again in June (but after we had already arrived) - the pool is not filled and is currently under (loud) construction. While this is not the fault of the owner, it is disappointing that there was no advanced notice as this is clearly a long standing issue. If I had been aware, I would have packed items like beach towels / beach blankets to be able to take advantage of the nearby beach - and been less disappointed upon arrival. Overall, the apartment is a little tired - like the guests before us, we could not use Netflix or any other streaming services and the live TV app available froze and broke. Thankfully, the owner responded quickly and did send someone out the next day to fix the issue. Check-in was not as described on Booking.com - there was nobody there to greet us and I had to call to receive the code for the lockbox with the key. While overall our stay was fine, it did not live up to the expectations outline by the photos, description and fine print and communication (no pool, check-in procedure) felt lacking.

1. If you’re after peace and quiet, the apartment’s location is very good. No clubs or discos in the area, no crowds of loud tourists. Good to have a small supermarket just across the street (open 365 days a year) next to a small bar, a pizzeria and a restaurant. 2. Parking is no problem, there are plenty of bays around the whole complex. If you’re lucky you might secure a spot right in front of your door. If not, it could be a short walk (max. 2-3 minutes). 3. The apartment is located in a pretty and quiet complex with a very Andalusian feel to it. There‘s a small balcony and a large roof-top terrace with nice views. The terrace is a perfect place to relax on warm evenings. 4. Two bathrooms are very handy to have, even if only two people are staying in the apartment.

1. The swimming pool was closed when we were there (early June). That was THE disappointment for us as 50% of our decision to choose this place was based on the pool. It looked as if it had been closed for a year or two. The official reason was the drought, but pools at other hotels in the area were open so we suspect another reason here. And while this was not the owner’s fault, the closed pool should be mentioned in the rental offer on Booking.com. 2. There were noisy repair works going on the pool during the whole week we were there – jackhammers, drills and angle-grinders for many hours a day. Again - not the owner’s fault. Our bad luck. 3. Cleanliness and maintenance are major issues in the apartment: - missing towel railings in the bathrooms - paint peeling off in the bathtub/shower - balcony door not sliding properly (you need to work out where to grab it to make it slide) - sun-umbrella missing from the balcony (I found it on the ground behind a wall on the terrace, broken, I fixed it with a hair-pin – a make-shift solution but it worked) - sun-umbrella on the roof-top terrace broken, we managed to open it, but it needs to be fixed properly (the cloth hanging from the pergola – as seen in the official photos – is not there at all, so the pictures are misleading again) - the table and chairs on the terrace looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned for months - bird poo on the walls on the balcony and the terrace (there are plenty of pigeons in the area so poo can happen, but that should be cleaned before new guests move in, it looks really bad/disgusting) - the TV is Android-TV, and it’s a joke – we couldn’t get it to work properly on any day of our stay, it would take ages to fire up, and then it would freeze on a channel as the transfer of internet data was too slow for the stream to work (another thing is that the TV seems to have only German channels) - the grill on the terrace is a sad memory of a grill – it’s dirty and completely rusted, holes in...

Property really nice, living room and kitchen as pictures. 2 bathrooms, new with lovely sanitary ware. Unfortunately weather bad in our week but very comfortable settled here. Big settee, great TV. When the sun did come out lovely balcony overlooking the sea. Small supermarket and a couple of restaurants opposite accommodation, very useful when we arrived for milk etc. Food in restaurant next door very good. Not much going on around about but train not far away, easy walking distance. We used that every day and went to different places.

Disappointed that the pool was closed due to water restrictions because of water shortage. However the pool looked in a condition that looked like it had been closed for some time. Certainly long enough for Booking.Com to have been informed that it was not available. We always choose a holiday property with a pool so this was disappointing. Bedroom curtains lightweight and as they faced the rising sun and a large street lamp outside them, the room was lit up all night and at dawn. Most places these days recognise that most people like the option of darkness at night so provide black out blinds. I recommend this and also new hangers in the wardrobe.

The location could not be better. Small but quite good grocery store accross the street and three restaurants with terrace. Train station walking distance 10minutes. Area is quite peaceful though close to Benalmadena center. Sea/skyviews from terrace are perfect through the day. We have been here four times and everything works great and we can focus on relaxing. Owner always helps if needed guidance in anything and answers fast.

Very comfortable beds, mattress and pillows. Ac is working everywhere. Close to the sea.

We liked everything

The department was very clean, location was perfect for our purpose. The neighborhood is very quiet, pool area is wonderful. Best thing about this house is the own rooftop terrace with beautiful views. Nearby services was good enought for our purpose.. I can recommend this place to have wonderful vacation! Our host Ed was also extremely flexile and nice person.

Train station is kind of near, but it's uphill, so it was good sports as well.
