Bilbao High Apartment

It was in a good location, spacious apartment, nicely decorated. Good contact with the owner.

Spacious for a family of 4 or even more. Our host was fully contactable during the entire stay always checking on us. Really central location for the Guggenheim, Casco Viejo and the funicular.

Air con would have been great but host had loads of fans in the rooms for us

Layout and space, and all the lovely thoughtful touches like milk and bread on arrival, well stocked toiletries, comprehensive kitchen equipment. Perfect place to stay and excellent communication and helpful tips from our hoat.

Apartment was very clean and well-equipped, although corkscrew was a bit flimsy. Beds were comfortable, and couches had extra cushions and blankets to make tv-watching especially comfy. Superb location: grocery store and bakery nearby. Only a short walk to the riverside attractions and Casco Viejo.

Hot water was set so high that it was easy to scald oneself. It would be nice to alert guests to very noisy garbage pickup on Monday morning. If I had known, I would have closed window and shutter (didn’t work on one bedroom), turning on fan to add ventilation. The sleep dispruption was really hard as I was very tired from hard hiking trip.

The host was super friendly and helpful. Even sorted out our taxi to the airport at the end of the stay. She was very responsive to our request. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Very comfy beds

There were cockroach traps in the kitchen and in one of the bedroom and we also found 2 little ones, we understand that in old buildings these can be found (specially on lower floors but of course you don't wish to find them during your holidays. The smell of fried food and kebabs from the bar next to the apartment.

Very clean, very well equipped and it felt very homely!

We liked living in an authentic suburban location seeing the rythym of daily life and shopping at the local supermarket and cafe. A lot of daily activity we could see from the apartment windows. We particularly liked the travelator and lifts nearby which helped us get up the hills. The owner was most helpful, even arranging a taxi at the end of our trip.

Only downside was that the street lights were very bright at night perhaps block out shades could be installed in the apartment to help with sleeping.
