Squeaking doors Squeaking beds The unit is on the 3rd floor of an old building without an elevator, which may be challenging for those with limited mobility. There is mold on the ceiling due to humidity and in some parts of the bathroom. A dish rack is helpful to have after washing the dishes. The space between the WC and the wall in one bathroom was very narrow, so tall people might not be able to use it comfortably.

Cataclysmic Disaster in the Hand Over of the key. We followed pre book-in arrangements notifying on arrival at 21.00 hours from the airport - the landlord. We were informed in our telephone conversation with the landlord, that the key was left outside front door on top - a ledge, being part of the front door structure. A key was there - a single key, that didn't open the front door nor the apartment. I was let into the apartment building by "another" tenant, that confirmed the single key didn't open the actual apartment. Contacting the landlord (2) twice again by mobile, even asking a Spanish speaking individual to speak with him, sending him a text message in Spanish by mobile - then sending a photo on the mobile of the actual key - it was accepted by the landlord the WRONG key had been left for us - blamed on the House Cleaner. The landlord came to the apartment and assisted us in leaving us with the correct (2) two keys. Finally, we occupied the apartment at 23.30pm, when we had planed, after our 2hr 30mins flight to take residency by 22 pm, at latest. My disappointment expressed to the landlord verbally was that this "calamitous" situation, especially, when you are "matured" in age was Un-acceptable. In the consideration to stay at this apartment it is IMPORTANT to remember, that the walking distances of the (3) three metro stations that can be used to reach this apartment with a "mean" walking distance of 900 meters - it's ALL up-hill. Those with mobility disabilities, of "mature" age, with NO elevator to the apartments in the building, important attention to these facts should be noted. The area beautiful and historical that the apartment is in, but from a walking perspective, with the variations of the land, the elevations - the "ups" and "downs" - no forgetting seasonable patterns time of the year of your considered stay, do your home-word or Research, before you book.

Location and every thing! You don’t need more for few days in Madrid!

The location is great, host was very helpful and accommodating with our late check in. Having the washing machine was great.

I felt the apartment could be looked after better, dead flowers in the window box, TV didn’t work, no kettle or coffee machine (had to microwave water to make tea), headboard not attached properly in second room, in the main bedroom a squeaky bed (drove me nuts), the ensuite bathroom is too small to use the toilet, there is no furniture to put anything down only one small bedside cabinet and a stool. Sofa bed in the lounge needs cleaning.
