Modern two bedroom apartment near Helsinki Airport

The apartment is in good shape, it is evident that owners are maintaining it. It can be reached by bus, no need for taxi and so close to the airport, which is awesome because you can relax longer. Also it is quiet and peaceful. Generally, this is good value for the money. I would stay there again.

There is still room for improvement: 1) The description says "Free Wifi". My expectation is that the first thing I see when I enter the apartment is the Wifi SSID and password. There was none. I know, I could have messaged the owner but I needed Internet for that which I could not get because there was no Wifi password. Or, at least send the Wifi password together with the locker code. 2) Providing bath towel and linen for extra money looks a little like extortion. I know, the description says "extra fee" but it is easy to miss. Anyway, what percentage of airport travellers will travel with their linen and bath towels? It would be more fair to include it in the price. 3) The TV did not work. Just did not respond to the remote. It was midnight and I did not have time and energy to investigate what was wrong. 4) One of the drawer pullouts was broken/misaligned. 5) There are lots of useful things in the apartment like a washing machine and a a dishwasher, but the markings are all in Finnish. Do you only expect Finnish guests? If not, why not provide simple instructions in English most people would understand? 6) The owner specifically asked not to smoke, which is fine because none of us smoke, but when I got to the apartment I saw a cigarette beside the microwave. If I did not find and throw it away it would make impression as if that was my cigarette. Perhaps you could check the apartment after each guest, this way most problems like the one with cigarette, the TV and the drawer could be avoided.

Asunnon sijainti on erinomainen, lähellä lentokenttää. Talo ja asunto on hiljainen ja rauhallinen. Hyvä pysäköintimahdollisuus läheisessä pysäköintihallissa. Sauna. Selkeät ohjeet tulopäivänä.

Ilmeisesti siistijän kanssa tulleen sekaannuksen vuoksi pedit olivat petaamatta, vaikka tulopäivänä sovimme liinavaatteiden käytöstä ja ne myös maksettiin etukäteen. Tätä omistaja kyllä pahoitteli. Huoneistosta puuttui yllättäen asunnon varusteissa mainittu hiustenkuivaaja, joten jouduimme lähtemään kentälle/reissuun märillä hiuksilla, kun emme kuivaajan puuttumista huomanneet kuin vasta siinä vaiheessa, kun sille olisi ollut käyttöä. Makuuhuoneiden matot epäsiistin, imuroimattoman näköiset ja ruokapöydässä oli edellisten asukkaiden kuivuneet jogurtit. Tyynyt halvat ja muhkuraiset, samoin peitot ohuet kesäpeitot. Itsellä samat peitot kesämökillä vierasvarapeittoina. Asuntossa oli korkea kosteus, johtuen makuuhuoneen yhteydessä olevassa vaatehuoneessa kuivumassa olleista kosteista vuodevaatteista.

We found keys where they were supposed to be. Lock box was easy to find. The apartment was nice, clean, convenient and well equipped. Sauna was great. Downstairs was a pizza place, so it was easy to get some food late in the evening. The apartment was less than 5 min taxi ride from the airport.

Retrieving the key was challenging. It was -17 and dark. Since we stopped in this appartment on our way back from Bangkok, we did not have gloves with us. Good that there was 3 of us, so one person could shine a light while other opened the box with freezing fingers. It would not have been a problem though if the weather was a bit milder and if there was enough light. As a "bonus" the apartment door did not unlock and we had to call the host for help. Also, I really do not understand this Scandinavian/ Nordic tradition to ask extra money for towels and sheets. Why not to include it into the price? It is hard to imagine that somebody would travel around with set of sheets and towels in order to save 5 eur per person.

The apartment was clean and spacious for the amount of us that stayed. It was well equipped with all the necessities. The parking facility was only a minute walk away.

The blinds around the apartment I think they should opt in to some black out blinds only because during the night the light from outside is quite disturbing when trying to get some sleep
