Guest House Koskenkylä

They are the most wholesome people on earth, they helped us with so many things. Our luggages got delayed, they gave us clothes so we won't freeze. I got sick, they gave me medicine. If you go to Rovaniemi, there is no better place to stay, I recommend them very very much.

Everything was perfect.

Everything was amazing. The house was very clean and comfortable. It’s also relatively easy to reach the city center by taxi (around €20) or on foot (about 1 hour and 15 minutes). Since the area is quite dark, you can see the Northern Lights. We had a wonderful view from the garden. The house and garden are beautifully decorated, creating a very cozy atmosphere, and the owners can turn off the lights to make it easier to see the Northern Lights. Last but not least, the owners are incredibly helpful and kind. Many thanks for the wonderful hosting.

Nothing.

I loved everything about the accommodation! The place is great, it has everything we needed including a complete kitchen. There’s also a parking spot, which is so useful because we used a rental car during our stay in Rovaniemi (which I highly recommend). The location is great as well, really close (by car) from a lot of the places we wanted to get to know. Also, we had so much luck that we were able to see the Northern Lights two consecutive days up in the sky right above the Guest House! But really what we loved the most was Janne and Heli’s hospitality. They gave us a lot of useful information about the city, about cool activities to do while in the region, and did everything so that we had the most amazing time in Rovaniemi. They are incredible people and for that I am 100% sure that was the best place to stay during our trip to see the northern lights. Their neighbors are also very kind people, that also helped us and shared local information, and we appreciated that very much. We recommend this accommodation 100% and if we ever come back to Rovaniemi, that’s the place we will stay at again.

Le logement très propre, très bien équipé, moderne, cosy et confortable / The accommodation is very clean, very well equipped, modern, cozy and comfortable. Un espace à l'abris pour avoir la voiture couverte. / A sheltered space to protect the car. Pas loin de la ville, mais dans un emplacement très tranquille / Not far from the city (10 minutes drive), but in a very quiet place. Nous nous sentions comme à la maison ou chez des amis. / We felt as we were at home or staying with friends. Un séjour parfait que nous recommandons fortement / A perfect stay that we highly recommend.

Me encantó absolutamente todo, los anfitriones son unas personas maravillosas, te ayudan en todo lo que necesites y transmiten súper buenas vibras, son los mejores, el alojamiento igual fue increíble, tiene todo lo que necesitas, está a 10/15 min de todo lo esencial que necesitas ver, sin duda cuando vuelva a Rovaniemi volveré al mismo sitio, no os arrepentiréis, recomendado 100%

Joli appartement, confortable, très bien équipé. Propreté impeccable. L'accueil a été très chaleureux. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié toutes les petites attentions à notre encontre. Nous avons pu voir des aurores boréales dans le jardin grâce aux propriétaires. La serrure connectée et le Carport sont près pratiques.

The host can even turn off all outdoor lights with a single switch, ensuring a dark and perfect setting to fully enjoy the aurora. The host himself is a highlight of the experience. He welcomed us warmly and even took us on a wonderful walk through the stunning forests behind the chalet, sharing engaging conversations along the way. His attention to detail is remarkable—he creates an enchanting atmosphere with ice lanterns lining the driveway, adding a magical touch to the evenings. He’s incredibly thoughtful, giving helpful tips and alerting us when the northern lights were visible. If you're looking for the ultimate Finnish getaway, with breathtaking nature, a dark-sky location for northern lights viewing, and a cozy, well-equipped chalet, Guest House Koskenkylä is the perfect choice. We couldn’t recommend it more!
