Apartamento La Tortuga II Beach

El alojamiento es espectacular, está todo nuevo e impecable, totalmente equipado, muy buen gusto en la decoración, insonorización máxima, aún teniendo la piscina a pie de puerta no se escucha nada. El apartamento está en planta baja, al lado de la piscina con jardín, también de la playa, y zonas de chiringuitos y restaurantes. Hay bastante aparcamiento disponible. Todo genial

Virginia our host was very friendly, easy to be approached and very responsive. Since we arrived early, it was not a problem at all to receive the keys already at lunch-time. She also tried to open up the pool again (see negative aspects below) and contacted the president of the apartment block to make it possible. The location is great, directly at the beach (view towards the sea) with some very nice restaurants around the corner and only 15 minutes walk along the sea side promenade to the old town. Definitely 10 of 10. The apartment itself does have everything for a longer stay with kids, including fast internet, washing machine, full equipped kitchen and SmartTV. Tarifa itself is also a 10 of 10, especially if you are into water sports like kite- and windsurfing. There are many good restaurants and plenty of activities and places to visit in Andalusia.

The major disappointment was the unavailability of the swimming pool directly in front of the apartment which closed by end of September (our stay started 2nd of October and we have not been informed, which is not ok!). When the Levante wind is strong (which it had been for 2 weeks), the pool would have been perfect for our kids. The interior felt a bit outdated with some furniture being end of life (our standards) especially in the bath room, but not only. Also the apartment was slightly overstuffed. Other than that, I can say that the apartment was clean. I am also a bit surprised about the many 10* evaluations, since the good rating was also one of our decision factors to book this apartment. With the pool working, my rating would have been at 7*.

Fantastic location. Have been to Tarifa many times and stayed in town and along the coast out of town but this is the best of both worlds.
