Marbella - Estepona beach frontline apartment

Disappointing stay – stress, discomfort and lack of professionalism We booked 8 nights as a family (2 adults, 3 children including a baby), but we had to cut our stay short to 7 nights because the experience was so unpleasant and mentally draining. 🔸 Upon arrival, the house (apartment 117) was not ready. The host admitted they had forgotten we were coming, and said our delay gave them “extra time to prepare” — which is unacceptable. 🔸 No basic supplies were provided: no hand soap, no dishwashing liquid, no detergent for laundry or dishwasher, and no garbage bags. 🔸 The house is equipped with old-fashioned manual blinds (photos available), which make a lot of noise when opened or closed. Unfortunately, that triggered more tension with the neighbors. 🔸 Starting the second day, we were unfairly targeted: a neighbor complained even though our kids were calm and we were simply cooking. Then, at 3 a.m., someone banged violently on our door and rang the intercom while we were asleep. 🔸 Instead of resolving the situation, the host sent us audio and video recordings taken during the night, making us feel watched and judged. She even sent Julio (the man who gave us the keys), who came back with the neighbors, banged on our door aggressively, and yelled at us — which terrified our children and deeply upset my husband. We felt that we were treated differently because of our origins. 🔸 Emotionally exhausting: this constant tension psychologically affected both me and my children. My kids were upset and felt the urge to “make noise back” to get revenge — but we explained to them that our values are rooted in respect, and that we wouldn’t respond to injustice with more harm. 🔸 The property is not suitable for families with young children: the main bed is only 160 cm wide, and no baby cot was provided. The father had to sleep on a hard sofa bed, and I slept with our baby — who fell off the bed twice during the night. 🔸 Parking was chaotic: there was no reserved space.

When traveling, unexpected changes to our schedule can happen, and arranging a specific time to collect the keys can be a bit annoying. That’s why using a key box with a code offers more flexibility for visitors. I didn't receive instruction about check out when I got the keys, and I've called to 2 different numbers and got 2 different instructions. 1- Leave the keys in the flat / 2 - leave the key in the mail box.

The Host was extremely helpful with local tips for Restaurants, and activities & everything within the apartment was in excellent shape and even better than we expected. One of the best rentals for value, comfort, location, and host experiences we have ever had. Would recommend to anyone wanting to have an incredible time.

Location and amenities were great

Clean, comfortable, large and had everything we needed.

It was a 10 min taxi drive outside Estepona, and it had 2 flights of stairs(known beforehand)

We loved that it’s SO close to the beach and to some incredible cafes and restaurants. We also loved that we could ride a bike for 5 minutes and access some of the yummiest restaurants and cafes. We recommend you go to Tikitano and to Sonora: right nearby and delicious. The apartment had everything we needed and is really quite lovely, comfy, modern and quiet, with a big furnished balcony overlooking the pools. It’s incredible to take 2 steps out the door and have a stunning sea view and to walk one minute (literally) and be able to plunge in the sea, surrounded by beauty and a lot of calm. Such a relaxing trip… The apartment was so close to the town and port of Estepona - beautiful and charming - with so much to offer; it has the benefit of feeling “secluded” while also being SO close to the action of Marbella and Porto Banus.

The location is great! It is directly on the beach. Both sides of the boardwalk lead to restaurants and tourist attractions. The complex also offers a pool and drinks. Estepona offers many beaches with kid-friendly activities, bar food, and massage kiosks! Downtown Estepona was a delight...lovely alleys with authentic cuisine. Also, it is a few minutes away from Marbella. This is the first time I have gone, but it will not be my last!
