Rauma City Apartments

WC:n sisäpuolen kahva ei pysynyt paikallaan, ei saanut ovea lukkoon. Kahva jäi käteen, mies yritti maalarinteipillä korjata, mutta ei oikein onnistunut. Meitä oli 2 pariskuntaa, niin WC olisi pitänyt saada lukkoon. Isommassa huoneessa huono sänky ja tyyny haisi. Toiset joutuivat nukkumaan keittiöstä erotetun sermin takana, kummassakaan makuupaikassa ei ollut ovea. Sähkölukko ei toiminut, vaan naapurista saimme apua. Kuvissa ei näytetty lainkaan rakennusta ulkoapäin, vaan kuvassa latomainen merimuseo.

Siisti pieni asunto, hyvä sänky. Erittäin hyvä sijainti kävelymatkan päässä vanhasta Raumasta, lapsiperheelle liikennepuisto ja Rauman merimuseo ihan vieressä. Keittiössä kaikki tarpeellinen. Mukavat nojatuolit.

Karheat pyyhkeet, kaikki muu oli loistavasti.

Aamuaurinko paistaa suoraan silmiin klo 6 aamulla, tarvetta olisi pimennysverhoihin. Avainlukko on lyhkäsessä varressa, hankala käyttää

The property location, directly behind the Maritime Museum, was only a short walk to Old Rauma and on a very quiet street. There was a children's play park directly behind the property which is beside the canal and which I'd recommend for a walk. The mattress was extremely comfortable, although the pillows had seen better days. The apartment door is very secure with the key pad Yale lock.

There is a 'master' bedroom with a double bed (and sofa, TV, desk, etc) and then two single beds in the kitchen BUT there are no bedroom doors - which means literally no privacy between rooms. We had a baby sleeping in a travel cot in the kitchen which meant that the kitchen was basically out of bounds after 8pm, and we had to watch the TV at a low volume. It was also difficult to watch the TV on the sofa as the seat (i.e. the bit that folds out into another bed) does not stay in place. This means that you can't lean back as you're pushing the bed out. There are also no curtains on the kitchen windows - only blinds - so if you're looking for a dark room to sleep, this ain't it. This is not ideal in Finnish summer when it's basically always daylight. Speaking of the kitchen windows, one of them is held together with sticky tape. Although the floors appeared clean, when you looked closer you can see that other areas are not. For example, there is a fine layer of dust on all skirting boards, hair on the bathroom sockets, and the pots and pans and cutlery were disgusting. We cooked eggs one morning and decided never to try it again. Socks and an Oreo wrapper were also found under one of the beds which would indicate that the floors are actually not well cleaned. To give a further indication of the lack of care, the handle on the inside of the bathroom door is broken, meaning it can't be closed - and the there was a packet of Lapland condoms in the desk drawer which expired in August 2011. For clarity, we stayed there in May 2025. Needless to say, the condoms remained unused, although even if they had been in date, there were NO DOORS! Additionally, there are two disgusting jars of used cigarettes on the balcony. This property was well below expectations and we will not stay here again unless considerable improvements are made.
