Apartamento Completo Santa Marina

Gostei da acomodação, ar condicionado funcionando, pois fazia muito calor . Tudo bom.

Despite my poor Spanish the host, who communicated by phone was very helpful and allowed me to check-in a little earlier than planned. Keys were collected from a lockbox around the side of the apartment which I found no problem thanks to very clear visual instructions from the host. Upon entering the property I stopped in my tracks and marvelled at the gorgeous courtyard from which my apartment was one of 4 leading off in different directions. Entering the apartment itself I wasn't disappointed. This is such a beautiful authentic Córdoban property with it's wooden shuttered windows and galley style kitchen in which my hostess had very kindly left me a delicious pizza and bread and milk and yoghurts for breakfast. I felt like I was stepping back in time a little but in the best possible way and with all mod cons still provided, all in perfect working order. The kitchen was very well supplied with modern appliances and the living room boasted a very comfortable l-shaped sofa and TV. The two bedrooms were a decent size and very comfortable and the property was very quiet at night. The location is exceptional, just around the corner and down the street from the historic Church of Santa Marina de Aguas Santas and the popular Bar/Bistro Santa Marina, and only 5-6 minute walk to the old historic centre of Cordoba. This was one place I was truly sorry I hadn't booked longer to stay in. Wonderful.

The disgusting smell from the kitchen made it unusable, even with the window open the whole night.

The place was very well-equipped, it had everything we needed, some food waiting for us in the fridge, coffee pods and coffee machine etc. Very spacious and clean. The patio was gorgeous, very typical of that region of Spain. Must be a really nice experience in summer. We appreciate that we could check-in earlier. It was easy to contact the owner of the place and retrieve the keys.

It took some time to heat the place up, but there was an air-conditioning system in the entire place and a radiator, so not really a problem and we understand that this is how houses in Spain are built. It is definitely a big asset in summer, just mind that during a cooler period you may need more time to get the place to a comfortable temperature :)
