Style 1BR Appartment in Tornio

It was charged extra costs that were not mentioned in the booking page, like pet fee (in the page it says animals are free), after complaining a “discount” was made by the owner. We had to pay this extra costs with cash.

Towels were broken, bedsheets and floor were dirty.

Did get an upgrade to an entire house, for unknown reasons. The house was clean and well furnished, with fully equipped kitchen and everything you need. A quiet location with an amazing porch at the front of the house, perfect for a hot summers day. The host was very easy to communicate with, and made fast replies if needed. Would absolutely recommend if you are staying in Tornio.

Parking

That Booking.com allows the host to demand extra charges after you have pushed the button "commit to pay"! When purchasing you do not know the total price.....! This is misleading the client and unfair trading.

Location

We DO NOT RECOMMEND this apartments. We were very disappointed from the beginning to the end. 1. There is NO washing machine for dishes (but it's written in the description) and you have to wash all the dishes after yourself (actually, before as well, some of them were dirty). 2. You have to do all the cleaning (dry and wet) after yourself (and again, before living there as well, especially if you come with children). 3. EXTRA COSTS: if you want to order linings, you have to pay extra 10 € per person (we paid, but still didn't find one of the bedsheets. Very friendly host told that they will bring it, I waited till the midnight, but they didn't). And if you don't have time to clean the toilet and wash the floor, you have to pay an extra 30 € (but the flat was dirty from the beginning). We came for one night, so if we used the cleaning option, the final price would be about 160 € (the host told us about kind of discount, but who knows). If you come for some days, have time for all the cleaning and your own bedsheets, or if you just don't care, maybe you'll feel fine there. 4. Frying pan in very bad conditions, all scratched. 5. DIRT (dirty toilet, dirty sink, dirty floor, dirty dishes, dirty kettle, dirty sofa…) I wrote this review in hope that the host will improve this situations and place will become much better.

The kitchen and washing machine were great. Also using the sauna was a nice experience.

The apartment wasn't cleaned well. After being installed in the place we discovered you have to do the cleaning yourselves (otherwise it will cost you another €20). Also the extra costs for bed linen is way too expensive. The price is too high for the accommodation.
