Railway&bus station studio, free parking

The instructions were excellent, and I was very happy to see that the property was so close to the bus station, that was absolutely lovely. The stores were close and there was a nice little café a short walk away for my morning latte. The bed was okay, and I had a good sleep.

The sofa was very uncomfortable, although presentable. The apartment was furnished for a shorter person, so I felt I was stooping all the time, a minor inconvenience but might be good to know. (I'm only 170cm tall) The apartment was a bit shabby, with paintings sticking out of the wall, a rusty pot, plastic plants and the dryer was on when I came in. There was only one pillow on the bed, and it was on the bed spread, so at first I thought there was no pillow for sleep. The covers were very thin for Finland, Oulu, in November. My main problem was the customer service, that was either automated or short enough to be rude, and then stopped completely, with no replies, so I had to contact Booking.com to get my problems solved after check-out.

Very convenient location if passing via Oulu, or even staying there. Easy to find, free parking, quiet neighbourhood, clean, comfortable, and has everything you need for a shorter or longer stay. Looks better in real than in the photos.

Location was pretty good.

Parking was marked as free, but in reality you have to renew the parking timer every 3 h. Bathroom looked horrible and the door didn’t close.

it is clean and very near to the train station. the owner is very responsive. it is really a value for money.

Had a very homely feel to it, could quite easily have moved in.

Good location, close to city center

We have stayed there 2 times during our holiday. At the beginning and at the end of our holiday. At the beginning (fist stay) I have asked if it is possible park anywhere. Answer was "only in guest places next to main entrance" I did everything according to instruction. There were no instruction like "only at night" or "during the day you have to pay" At the end of stay I got penalty 60 € for bad parking. Than owner was "totaly alibist" that is neccessary follow the signs. Some facts 1) parking had a lot of free places, but no one was booked for the appartment 2) I could not know if any agreement with city and owner for guests exists or not So If I would not had asked, I would be my mistake. But, I have asked, I got answer, but very imcomplete. Generally. If you are traveling through Finland, you have in such place first or last stop or both. In this case, normally you have car (from rental). And by this way your holiday will be more expensive than you awaited. The biggest problem is that owner is trying to make business with clients and "change positive evalution with future discount"
