Charming Holidays in Martiánez Beach

It's a nice self catering studio apartment just like on photos. Ideal for couples or small families like us (up to 4 people) comfortable sofabed and two single wardrobe-bed. Nice location near beach and restaurants. The owner lady is very lovely and helpful.

The location of the apartment is very good. The owner was most helpful on arrival and on one occasion when an electric fuse had tripped. The balcony was spacious and had a clothes line. From the large dining balcony, you could view the sea from 2 directions. The swimming pool looked lovely but too cold, obviously when we visited in Jan. The outside of the building needed repaired, but it did look as though some work was going on. The inside of the building was very presentable and you could get a lift to your floor. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. With some repairs inside as detailed in my review and a nice king-size bed in place of the present arrangement, it could be a very comfortable apartment.

The biggest problem for us was the beds and there didn't seem to be any point in complaining as the owner couldn't fix it for our holiday. The 2 single beds fold up into the wall, so look like cupboards during the day. The mattresses were very thin, and the duvets didn't smell fresh. My husband and I didn't sleep much on the 1st night. Our solution that got us through the week was to put both mattresses on one bed and to use the couch as our second bed. We survived but can’t say the best. The property says it can take 4 people. The sofa is bed 3, and a roll-out floor single bed with a thin mattress is bed 4. Not for us, I'm afraid. The shower curtain needed to be changed as it was dirty at the bottom. The bathroom sink countertop was not attached to the wall. A few electrical sockets were not attached to the walls, the bathroom door was not attached to the door frame at the bottom hinge, the toilet blocked and the hairdryer has a lose wire somewhere as it works intermittently. I hate complaining, but we did not enjoy the apartment.

Smelt of food, very old and tired furniture. Tap in bathroom very loose, towels old and not big enough, beds fold down singles so not a one bedroom apartment. They were very uncomfortable . It is a studio with a curtain separating the lounge. Cluttered with things that were not necessary. I felt that I was staying in someone’s apartment who already lived there.

Good location, nice apartment, good equipment.

Poor parking possibility - either you have to find free parking place on streets or you have to pay ca 32€/ day in the mall (ca 300 m far away). The building would appreciate a bit maintenance and repairment, but when you close the door to the apartments, the world is finally nice :)

Beautiful, clean and well equipped apartment. The Host was very pleasant and available. The location is great. You can see the Playa de Martianez and also feel the foam from the big spectacular waves. You are also immediately on the promenade, leading to the centre. We loved it.

The apartment itself is very nice, we had a good stay here

It is impossible to find a parking place in the area and you can not even stop to load/unload your stuff close to the building's entrance because there is a barrier. It was very annoying to transport all our heavy stuff for over 300 meters for 2 times (before and after)... no fun at all!

The apartment enjoys a great position, well-placed for everything in Puerto de la Cruz with lovely views of the sea, visible from the moment you walk through the front door. The apartment is tastefully presented. Everything you need for a happy stay, even a lengthy one, is provided.

It was difficult to find the apartment building when we arrived. We understood that the number of the Martiánez Apartments was 25 but it is 26. There is no number 25. The owner explained that she cannot change the number with booking.com. We would have liked traditional bottom sheets over the mattress protectors on the beds. A little background heating would have been welcome on a few chilly evenings.
