Alojamientos Puerta del Parque

Loved the location as a base for lots of hiking. Loved listening to the waterfall and birds every morning from our bed & the patio and watching the raptors circling on the thermals above us. Great spot on the edge of the town. Close to main supermarket (just outside the town). Easy walk into Cazorla (5min max) to the main plazas and bars. Handy to have washing machine and dryer for washing. Balcony was spacious (although not as sunny as we had hoped). Car parking on the street in front of the accomodation worked perfectly for us all week but given we were off peak in February we were lucky. Parking otherwise would be challenging if not using the owners parking (at a daily cost). TV had limited channels and no ability to listen/eatch with English subtitles etc. This was not an issue for us as we had a device to access Netflix using our own account. Constant hot water available for showers which was much appreciated after a day of hiking.

Very strong smell of tobacco smoke on our landing every day coming from people in the 2 apartments on the same floor (one appears to be a permanent resident). Smoke on occasions infiltrated our accomodation by coming under the front door. Likewise heavy smoker in apartment 6 made it uncomfortable to use out patio in the morning due to smoke. Not the owner's fault but affected our stay unfortunately. Limited storage space for storing food if you are planning to be self-catering (which we we were). Shower was good although water sprays onto the floor and leaks from the back corner. A few additional basic items in the kitchen would be appreciated e.g. oil, salt, pepper. We often find these provided by other owners. Despite these points we would absolutely stay again.

Great little apartment, perfect for two people. Modern, clean and comfortable.

Wonderful views from balcony; surrounded by very impressive mountain scenery; walks started virtually from outside the propertry.

The apartment had a perfect situation close to the centre, the castle and the natural park. The apartment was clean quiet and with all the facilites necessary. La dueña Yolanda was very welcoming and helpful.

The pillows were filled with foam.

we picked this apartment for its close proximity to our favourite walk. it is also a couple of mins walk in to the village. A fabulous location. We also loved having the balcony which was quite a good size had a table and chairs and overlooked the mountains. A glorious place to watch the sun set and the moon rise. the apartment was comfortable and clean . the bed was very comfortable if a little small , it was a standard double but these days people like a bigger bed! the mattress was memory foam and very comfortable.

the pillows on the bed were quite lumpy and big . I have neck problems and they were not good for me . Next time I would take my own pillow. it would also have been nice to have an extra blanket in the cupboard as one night it got colder and we would have put an extra cover on rather than tuning on the heating. A kettle in the kitchen was also needed. a kettle is not a Spanish thing but it was mentioned on the apartment description, I have a travel kettle but did not take it as I expected one to be there.

The flat is very cosy, clean, quiet and with stunning views. They have a parking spot for an extra 10€ per day, otherwise it can be quite difficult to find parking close by.

The sofa is a bit hard and there was no tea/coffee/sugar/salt.

The view from the apartment is spectacular and it is on the edge of the village, which we liked. It's small but does provide everything needed for a short stay. It was very clean.

The worst thing for us was that we presented with a big charge to take our dogs. This wasn't made clear before we booked and after adding this to the price we paid it didn't really make it an economical visit. Also parking is a problem, especially at weekends and we found this very stressful. Of course there is garage parking available but again it's at an extra cost which would have made it even more expensive. If we had known about the high charge for our pets we would probably have booked some other accommodation which doesn't charge!!
