Luxury Suite Sea Front III

We had a wonderful stay in this cute house right on the seafront in Playa Honda. It's really close to the airport which meant we were there about 45 minutes after landing. The house was clean, comfortable and very well equipped (espresso maker, coffee pod machine, good range of pots, pans, knives, washing machine, toaster etc.. The front terrace faces south and gets the sun all day so we enjoyed spending time there eating lunch and reading. The house is really close to all amenities including a large beach and a smaller more sheltered cove about 5 minutes walk east along the seafront walkway. There are lots of nice bars and restaurants nearby at all price points. We particularly enjoyed Bar La Caleta on the seafront which is a great place to people watch on the seafront and has great drinks and fantastic tapas. There is a small supermarket about 2 minutes walk, a large Euro Spar about 10 minutes walk, a Lidl and Hyper Dino supermarkets about 20 minutes walk, and the Deiland shopping centre about 25 minutes walk. There are also several pharmacies.including one on Calle San Borondon about 15 minutes walk from the house. We were able to watch both the sunrises and sunsets from the terrace of the house which was such a treat! Despite being close to the airport we were rarely disturbed by the noise and found the house very peaceful.

Place could have been a bit cleaner when we first arrived

Fantastic location on the beach, surprisingly quiet bearing in mind it is closed to the airport. Good communication with the owner. There are two restaurants with quite different prices, only 20 meters away, each. All in all, very good apartment on the beach.

There is no proper ventilation in the WC/toilet. I am sure it can be solved. Also, kitchen could be better organize. It is not much user friendly. For example, you have to bend down to get cutlery. It can be solved also.

Nothing about the accommodation was luxury. It was hot and stuffy, smelled of wet dog, with all the soft furnishings needing a good clean. Ingrained dirt throughout. The kitchen was basic, with a smelly fridge and few plates etc. The living area was tired, with sockets coming off the walls. The bathroom was downright grubby with a rusty shower screen. The bedrooms were dirty and one mattress badly stained with brown fluid. There were ant traps in the corners. We were met by a cockroach and decided to leave.

Unfortunately the property was extremely dirty. There was dead cockroaches on the living room, dusty all around, bathroom was blocked - every single shower it was a nightmare - water everywhere. Really not up to the standards of a luxury suite.
