Orereta - Basque Stay

The apartment was lovely. Everything was as advertised, the place was clean, and most of the necessities were provided (waste bags, dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid, etc). Bed was nice and firm, which is my personal preference.

This room was fully equipped with all necessary home appliances. Also, the decoration was very modern and cool. Location is ideal to explore the town. Not too close to the center but nice walking distance.

Somehow, hot water didn’t come during shower at the last night.

Spacious

TV did not work and too small. Flat pillows, very uncomfortable stools and outside chairs. Balcony rusty and broken. No extras eg; only one dishwasher /washing tablet, no salt, kitchen roll, no water in fridge, no shower gel. Further away from centre as advertised.

We loved the location in Gros, it had a lovely laid back vibe. Choice of Cafes, Restaurants and bars was excellent and all within walking distance. The beach was suberb and the coastal walk to the port was lovely. The Old Town was amazing and a real fun way to spend an eveing

Beds not very comfortable. No shower amenities

The apartment was super modern and freshly renovated. The lighting system was perfect and was giving the apartment a warmth touch.

Nothing. Maybe a couple of single use flip flops will be good to have, since all the rest was perfect. I found the price a bit too high for October (180euro per night), but that was inline with almost every accomodatin I checken in Donostia for that week.

Location was close to the city center and near several great restaurants and bars. Apartment was well decorated, had basic necessities, and was moderately comfortable. Concierge has an office in the center of town.

No free parking available but paid parking available nearby (we knew this before booking). No safe/lockbox in apartment. No air conditioning or fans in the apartment; located on a very noisy street so it made it impossible to sleep with windows open. Even with windows closed it was very noisy. Floors were dirty upon arrival. Tried to contact concierge via telephone but no response. Had to wait for email response.

It was bright, clean, spacious. we could walk to the beach, playgrounds, hiking trails, and restaurants easily from the apartment. we rented bikes for the 10 days we stayed there and there are dedicated bike lanes from the apartment to anywhere you want to go. it was fun for us and our kids. it was in a local neighborhood which was interesting to immerse in. we had a hard time figuring out the daily rhythms and breaking in to the local scene but that’s also what gave it a less touristy feel. contact for help was responsive and helpful when we had questions about picking up the key and the TV. would stay at the apartment with our family again.

it didn’t come stocked with stuff like hand soap in the bathroom. picking up the keys from a separate location was a pain after a long travel day. i think it’s run by a business rather than a host and you can tell. overall not that big of a deal.
