CASA ANCLADA en LA SANTA- 4 Apartamentos frente al mar- 1ª linea solarium

Casa Santa is a nice building of four flats located in the fishermen's site of La Santa, just in front of the Ocean. It has been recently renewed and it would be a perfect solution for a couple. The beautiful beach of Famara is pretty close by.

Unfortunately the flat we reserved was completely unsuitable for a couple with two small kids, as we were, and as we had clearly stated when starting our research on Booking.com. Our flat front door was directly on the public road (where cars are not allowed, but fishermen's trucks are). The access to the tiny patio and to the common terrace requested to enter another front door that had to be opened with a key locked in a digital-opening-code box, which was extremely uncomfortable, especially with kids and at night. Furthermote, as the windows open on the public road at walking height, curtains had to be shut to have some privacy The flat was well fournished for two people, but absolutely not for four. We had to leave after the first night. We do not complain about the apartment itself, but we believe it should not have been proposed for 2+2 people, especially with 2 small kids. ,

What a wonderful position. Glorious views over the front and the pretty little working harbour. You can watch the boats going in and out, the surfers, and people strolling along the promenade. The balcony of our apartment (Azuelo) faced North, so was protected from the midday sun. The roof terrace receives sun all day.

The toilet is only separated from the bedroom by a metre high wall. For this reason I would not recommend this place for 4 people unless, perhaps, a couple with two young children.

A very cozy modern apartment where you feel good. Beautiful and well equipped kitchen. One of a few apartments with correct light setup. Warm light from multiple sources. We fell in love with the charm of La Santa – fish restaurants, bike trails, big waves, fishing boats, rocks, Lago de la Santa, Montaña Bermeja...

The only thing missing in the kitchen was a wooden spoon. And contrary to our expectations, we didn't use the roof terrace at all – we felt better in the apartment which also had a sea view.

Location and the view

Location was amazing and the apartment was well equipped

Apartment even if just cleaned was really dirty, we walked barefoot when we first went inside to keep it clean but then we noticed that our feet were basically black. The roof was beautiful as well but again everything quite dirty and dismissed which with the money we paid was not expected.

The description “1 separate bedroom and 1 bathroom” is at least highly misleading. Toilet and shower are IN the sleeping room, it’s not a separate room. The pictures don’t really explain it as well. For us it was not that big of a deal, but if we had known it beforehand, it might have had an influence on or decision.

The house was beautiful and clean

The description does not make it clear that the room is separated from the street by a glass door with a dubious lock and covered by white curtains that allow everything inside to be seen. The doors inside (bedroom and bathroom) have a latch lock, making me feel completely exposed to the street. I didn’t sleep all night because there was a person standing outside the glass door until 4 in the morning and I was afraid that he might enter at any moment. As a solo traveler, I expressed my concerns to the owner asking for a refund. The refund was not possibile. However, I asked the owner to change my apartment (there were others in the same complex in a building separated from the street by a REAL DOOR) but the owner didn’t even bother to respond to my request. She doesn’t even say no, she just ignored me. I find this service absolutely poor and it was the worst part of my stay. The next day I was forced to change accommodation and lost my money.

On the ocean shore but there is no beach. The restaurant that is on the next corner on the beach is good.

The drawers were dirty we couldn’t put the cloths in, otherwise it was cleaned. The bedsheet was ugly, not ironed at all, so we didn’t trust it was clean. The owner said it was changed in the morning. It can be, but it didn’t look like… No airconditioning, no dishwasher, no view on the ocean or anything nice. The place is very noisy, the fishermen’s boats are pulled up from the ocean on a ramp located just in front of the apartment. The nice beaches of Lanzarote and most of tge sights are all far away: about 30-40 km.

Perfect location right on the seafront, the property had everything we needed for our holiday.
