Great location

Very messy key pick up and complicated access. Key pad is not in the apartment building and is on another street. Toilet was smelly and pillows way too hard. Also too many instructions everywhere.

Great location, great communication with Ignacio as he spoke excellent English and was very response.

Bed not very comfortable - good bed would make serious difference to rating

The apartment is clean, modern, and full of light, with wonderful views and a great, central location. The bed is comfortable and the water pressure in the shower is strong. Unlike many other vacation rentals, the apartment has lots of storage space: two dressers and a wardrobe. We also appreciated having a washing machine.

The sheets and pillowcases smelled of mildew, which was unpleasant. The temperature in the apartment is controlled remotely; instead of being able to adjust it yourself, you have to call or Whats App the managers to change it for you, which is a bother (although they were responsive in doing that). Also, getting the keys was harder than it needed to be. You pick them up from a lockbox across the street. Instead of being sent the code for the lockbox, as at other apartments, you have to call and ask for it, which is difficult if your Spanish isn't good enough for phone calls.

Great view of the sea and hills. The bed was spacious enough and comfortable for us. The kitchen was well-equipped, with a modern coffee machine and toaster. The towels were big and fluffy, and there were plenty of them.

Some plates had cracks, and the pans had significant scratches, which caused food to stick during cooking.

The property was clean and easy to get to. The apartment is small, which is not problem. It would be helpful if the host would include one water and some detergent for guests. Even if it’s one bottle or enough detergent for one wash.

Procedure for entering and heating is a bit complicated, but everything worked in the end!

I recommend the location for Bilbao visits.

Too many directives in too many messages to translate from spanish to english and then follow the steps in a first encountered environment. The heating was remote controlled, not by us so it was annoying to feel cold in the 2nd night. After informing them, they increased its temperature. The hosts can communicate via spanish translator, so they could not understand that one pillowcases were missing.

The old part of the town and the Ostende beach is very special. The biggest advantage of the appartmant, that it has a garage, because the town is overcrowded.

There are two elevators accessable from the garage. It was not clearly communicated in which the appartment is located. It was hard to understand that we are trying to open another appartment and carry all the luggages down and up again with the proper elevator. Your elevator is not the one opposit to the parking place, but some places away in the direction of the way out.
