Location was great, nice big TV, easy wifi access, getting in was easy, towels were good

I have stayed in these apartments a few times and the overall cleanliness and upkeep seems to have dipped over time. Every single wall needs a lick of paint they're all marked up, there are damages that have been there for some time (chunks out the worktops) - there was thick layers of dust in places. Overall it was fine but when you pay £100-160 per night and compared to when I first stayed there they have gone down hill a bit. Also the properties are ran by a management firm, on full payment of the apartment I was asked and phone called within 24 hours to pay £200 deposit for damages. I was also asked to fill in an application form with all my personal details + scan or passport etc which all seemed a bit much for a 2 night quick stay.

Location was the reason we stayed here. That suited us

The set-up is generally grubby and tired, a decent door-mat might have helped keep dirt out of the property. The bathroom lock stuck, so whomever was in was locked in. The TV remote did not have batteries and so the TV was (to begin with) useless. We took batteries from a child's toy. Still didn't work. When the cleaner appeared with sheets and towels she brought new batteries, and was kind enough to poit-out that the fault was ours because of the batteries we'd put into the remote! The sofa bed mattress was stained. -I did not have the courage to examine other mattresses! Some of the windows did not lock. The main bedroom was tiny, even more so once we put our suitcases into it. We required extra sheets and towels to be provided. This proved to be very difficult to arrange, firstly through a telephone number where English did not appear to be the first language, and which I had to call at least three times, (-they did not call back when they assured me that they would.) and then through a cleaner who insisted that what we required was present, even though three of our party had searched for them. When finally the cleaner appeared (us having evidently inconvenienced her evening) she was on her phone and refused to speak to us, and then she took a photograph of the items that she had brought to send to the owner, who then told us that this picture proved that the extra sheets and blankets were already there! We only had one key, and even though there's a key safe outside, since the key is required to open/ unlock the door from either side, if some of our party were in, and some out, we had to choose between locking people in or locking people out. There was some illness in our group, so some wanted bed-rest at times. The owner explained to us that this was not a hotel! -Apparently that means that sub-standard is OK. There were minimal kitchen supplies (no salt) -But of course it's not a hotel. Only one tea towel.

We liked the easy check-in and check-out, the comfort of the bedrooms and the bathroom.

The kitchen lacked some major facilities such as kitchen towel, sponge, cutting board and coffee maker. The oven must have been cleaned with the wrong chemicals as the smell coming out of it made our eyes and throat itchy and stingy. There was no hot water from the kitchen sink so we had to wash the dishes with cold water. Some of the cutlery used by previous guests were not left clean.

we were attending a wedding for the weekend, the apartment was ideally located and liked that we could come and go as we pleased. handy places to eat nearby and apartment a good size for the 4 of us. it had everything we needed.

The parking space isn’t marked and we were told to park in space 11. our booking it seems was for 2 people, I raised this before our stay that there were 4 of us ( the flat accommodates 4 so not sure why 4 people then ended up being an issue- we had provided 4 names ( why is that relevant?) both bedrooms were already made but was then charged £40 extra. would be much better to charge for the whole apartment regardless.
