Signature Beachfront Home, Panoramic Sea Views & Marble Fireplace

The sea view from the flat is absolutely beautiful. The flat itself is beautiful, and I don't think I've ever slept in such a comfortable bed in my life. Everything you could want was on hand, and we were welcomed by the most thoughtful little touches, such as a bottle of milk, a slab of chocolate, biscuits, and even treats for my two doggies, upon arrival. There was also plentiful tea, coffee (both pods for the coffee machine and instant), sugar, dishwasher tabs, lovely warm throws for every chair, and a nice welcome brochure giving hints and tips for every eventuality. The host, Anji, was available instantly at the end of a text all through our stay, which was amazing given we were there over a weekend. Absolutely top notch. It was our first time at Herne Bay, and during the coldest weekend, apparently, that the UK had in 15 years. So it was great to be able to have a roaring cosy fire every night. Here again, Anji made sure everything was ready, with a fire starter pack and logs waiting for our arrival (she just asks you request it the day before arrival). My friend was recovering from a hospital stay so she did not go out much, but I had long walks on the beach, which is right in front of the flat. It was so cold that even the sea sand and pebbles were frozen solid. I'd like to come back in summer. Apart from that we did not venture out much, except to go eat out at a seafood restaurant in neighbouring Whitstable. But, the flat itself was so lovely and cosy that it was a holiday in itself just to stay in and relax, and watch the ever-changing sea out of the bay window. A lovely stay, thank you very much indeed.

The location was superb. We had a lovely walk to Reculver Towers. The rooms were lovely and the open fire was very cosy. The christmas tree was a wonderful, very thoughtful touch. The kitchen was very well equipped. Overall superb!

The following are very minor points: 1. A lock on the bathroom door would have been very useful - we used a sock on the door knob! 2. The underfloor heating in the en suite bathroom was too high, and we couldn't find any control. 3. Bath sheets would have been preferable to the small towels provided.

Excellent location and beautiful sea view! The apartment is comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated with great range of amenities provided.

The chandelier shakes every time someone walks across the floor above. Not a big concern, though.
