Arrochar Alps Apartment

The lounge/dining area with the view of the Loch. Kitchen was fine. Dishwasher would be nice. Useful to have 2 shower rooms. Showers worked fine.

We had to clean the teapot and some mugs. Previous guests hadn't done a good job. Bedrooms both rather small. Would have preferred a bigger bed. Good to have a washing machine but very difficult to dry washing even with the dehumidifier. Suggest heated towel rails?

The view of Loch Long and the Cobbler were spectacular

The only thing I would say is having to reverse down the drive off the main road , but it wasn’t that bad really .

Very well equipped with lovely views of the mountains and a smart TV. Having French doors to the garden was good for our dog (however you have to walk through next doors garden to get to your car unless you go all the way around the building up to the road). The owner was very responsive when we called after our first night saying the beds were too damp to sleep in. She brought over fresh bedding which made one of the bedrooms usable but not the other. However by night three the bedding was damp again.

This is in the top three of the worst places we have ever stayed (and we have stayed at a lot) which is so hard to write when the owner was lovely. But for the price, the whole set up underneath another apartment with a steep drive from a very busy road with nowhere to turn around, no ventilation in one of the bedrooms which smelt damp with damp beds which were unusable even on the third night of airing and the dehumidifier belting out. Really really disappointed. At approx £140 a night and having to sleep on an airbed in the front room for the entire stay, we are just shocked. When the lights turned off, each room had a smoke alarm or similar on the middle of the ceiling which gave a blip of light every few seconds and lit the room up. The smell from the bathroom in the bedroom that did have a window smelt terribly damp and we never used that one to shower in. The apartment is sold for 4 guests, but the fridge and freezer were tiny. The whole area around the apartment at this end of Arrochar was run down, rubbish everywhere with shops closed down. The one reason we booked this was for the view of the water. This end is a tidal Loch and the water disappears twice a day for some time.

Appartement had everything we needed, kitchen had plenty utensils and two en suite bathrooms were super handy. It was more spacious than anticipated and we were lucky enough to have sunny weather and thus enjoy the garden and amazing views. We loved our stay!!

Only thing we can think of is that the fridge was a bit small for a stay of a few days and maybe a washing line to dry clothes in the garden would have been nice, but it wasn’t a huge negative at all!

The location is stunning and the host Wendy goes above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. Everything that we may need is at hand and that includes for the dogs.

The apartment could do with a new bed in the Green room. Our friends said it was pretty uncomfortable

The drive, just didn't like how steep it was

Very clean, cosy, everything you require was supplied. Perfect location for sight seeing and walking.

Parking was down a slope which on icy days was difficult.
