No. 2 Smith Cottages

The property had everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. The beds were really comfortable and the place had a nice homely feel. Location perfect to wander the town and has a lovely Indian restaurant/takeaway just a few doors down!

Everything was exactly as I needed.

A little bit of traffic noise but only noticed on first night.

A quaint little cottage, comfortable, very clean and had everything in it you could possibly need.

That it was possibly haunted! Equally Nervous and intrigued!

loved the location and availability of amenities- loved the market.

The traffic noise- didn't realise when booked was actually on the main thoroughfare to other places- noise only died down for a short period. We weren't able to shut the windows which may have minimized the noise.

Friendly welcoming host makes you feel at home, great place to stay , dog friendly. Clean and comfortable. Great facilities, excellent Wi-Fi. It’s our number choice when in the area. Looking forward to a return visit.

We where visiting the village for a medical appointment and so this was the perfect location for us. We where given very clear instructions for our arrival and we found the lovely little courtyard with ease. The accommodation was very clean, well equipped and the beds comfortable. Even with my bad back, I slept well and woke up refreshed. We where very thankful for the addition of the fans as it was very warm at night when we stayed. We found that even having the apartment next to the road the double glazing meant that the road noise did not bother us at all. Although we didn't use the courtyard while we stayed it was a lovely little haven and would be nice to sit out in the evening and let the kids play on the small swing set and look at the little fish pond. There is a lovely walk along the river not far away and the pottery café in the square is also worth a visit. We have recommended to several friends that are looking to visit the area that they should stay at smith cottages, we thought it was lovely. Also if you like your history, this is definitely worth looking up!

We where not impressed with the Chinese take away across the road! As for the accommodation - I don't anything bad to say!

Clean and tidy place and worth the money. Host was helpful and friendly. Garden and private parking was good. Pleasant stay, definitely recommend.

Lovely accommodation

The location was excellent. Right in the town so easy access for everything. Very pretty garden to sit in the evening.

The television would be good with Netflix etc as later in the evening would be nice to watch a film
