The flat was secure, but the front door was broken.

It was nicely decorated with a modern kitchen. It was clean.

Our booking was changed from “Deluxe Double Room” to “Double Room with Patio” at the last minute. We weren't informed of the fact - we only realised a change had been made when we saw the instructions for access. Even though we had paid a premium for the right to cancel the booking, by this time it was too late to find suitable alternative accommodation - Oxford was pretty much booked up. The patio flat is in fact a basement flat – you go down some stairs to enter it. The “patio” is a small area at the bottom of the stairs – you wouldn’t want to sit there. The “garden view” is a view of some dustbins and rubbish bags which go right up to the bedroom window. You only have to be mildly rat-phobic to never want to open the window. The bed was uncomfortable and creaky. There is just a 1ft gap between the end of the bed and the wall, made even narrower by a wall heater. This can make things difficult for the person on the “wrong” side of the bed. In the bathroom there was sometimes an unpleasant drain smell. The basin in the bathroom is small and has no grill over the plug hole. There is no mirror in the bathroom, making shaving difficult. There are no shelves there. The washing machine did not work – part of the door latch had clearly been deliberately removed. There is no dishwasher even though the description says there is meant to be one. I applied via booking.com for a refund. If I had just got back the premium which I had paid for the ability to cancel the booking I would have been a bit happier. However, the owner apparently refused to pay anything. This speaks volumes for his sense of customer service.

Fantastic location, within walking distance of the centre of Oxford, wirh frequent buses leaving from just across the road. Plenty of eateries and a great variety, lots of lovely pubs around to choose from. Although the weather was really hot, I could get a good cross breeze from opening windows at the front and back. Pedestal fans were supplied. Whilst the flat is cosy, it has all you need for a self catering stay, with Sainsburys really close. The bed was comfy and shower had good pressure.

Bit of a nuisance having to walk around to the back of the building to get in, which entailed walking around a small block. The ground floor flat does have direct access to the front of the building. The fact it was 33 degrees made it feel worse!

The bed was very bad the flat was very small Brocken windows and can not be open the stair was was very small the location was far away from everything. it not enough for four persons. the bathroom was very very small and bad smelly the flat is overused.
