Never got to stay.

They cancelled on the morning of our booking.

I booked this property based on positive cleanliness reviews, which was so important for me having two young children; I now realise most of these were from 2023, and what we experienced was appalling. The house was filthy: sticky carpets and floors, cigarette butts throughout the garden, a grimy oven, dirty kitchen cupboards and fridge door/handles, stains on the bathroom floor, and an extremely overgrown, unsafe garden (including a worn and rusty tin fence and 2 loose bricks left on top of a storage box). My 2 year old even saw a shiny red item down the sofa cushion and it was a full-sized screwdriver - lucky I was there to reach for it before he did! It was clear this wasn’t a one-off missed clean - it reflected consistent neglect and lack of maintenance. I had to use my cleaning products and spent time scrubbing surfaces just to make it remotely livable, which was especially distressing as I was staying with two young children, who spend time on the floor. The listing did not reflect the reality of the property, and the 2 night stay was uncomfortable and stressful. The host acknowledged the poor condition and promised a partial refund, but communication has since stalled. I’ve submitted extensive photo and video evidence. I strongly advise others to avoid this property until it is properly cleaned and maintained.

Le fait qu'il y ait 3 chambres (pratique avec 2 enfants). La maison était typiquement anglaise "comme dans Harry Potter" selon mon fils. Les lits étaient propres.

Manque de propreté général (mégots dans le jardin, cuisine un peu sale).

Clean and well maintained, short distance from town and a nice size. Very helpful and contactable host too!

I like the place on the inside; it was amazing. It just needs a little upkeep on the outside, especially the beautiful garden, which needs some light and probably a barbeque with a small canopy for when its raining.

No ventilation in the bathroom upstairs, No extraction fan & unable to open any windows - some mould on the walls in the bathroom as a result.

the home was clean and inviting, hosts were fantastic and checked in to ensure we were happy via email and if there was anything we needed. Will be back
