Host & Stay - Golden Lion Apartments

very mixed up arrangements to get into apartment was sent 2 codes one for outside door and another for apartment keysafe . Outside door either doesn't have or doesn't work with a code so very confusing . luckily a guest came out of the door and informed us that the front door was not locked at all . this might seem picky as overall the apartment was very good but the bedroom and bathroom skirting boards were covered in thick dust which TBF is the only thing that let it down .

Only 2 plates, bowls etc. Only 1 stemmed wine glass - a bit too minimal The entry pad on the main front door wasn't working - AA battery missing. Given this is a front door in the middle of Whitby I though this important from a security point of view. I raised this on the day of arrival with the host via a message and despite exchanging further messages and sending photos, this had not been resolved when we left 4 days later.

The location was great

The shower by the kitchen was broken. It was far too hot, when trying to turn it down, everything was broken and would just spin. My partner ended up cutting his hand as there were screws missing. The upstairs en-suite was dusty and had cobwebs near the shower entrance. Was a pleasant stay, but didn’t think it was worth the money spent.

Lovely stay and beautiful views. Central location. Modern and clean, don't let the door on the street fool you. It's beautiful inside. Everything you need for a great holiday.

It was unclean, pubic hairs on the toilet and in the shower, long term dust on towel rail and skirting boards, crumbs and hairs and old hair clips in the drawers, the flooring had gaps in, very unpleasant.
