"Excellent accommodation for a couple in a great location"

10.0

We were met by Kate on arrival and shown around the property. The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. We had friend coming to dinner on Sat night and Kate provided extra plates etc & set up the BBQ. Kate & Andy were both there on the last morning to check if everything had been ok.

"Lovely stay in relaxing barn"

10.0

The property was really clean and cosy. I loved the blue and purple theme inside and also the large shower area. There were chocolates, milk, orange juice and fresh flowers waiting for us on arrival. The host, Kate, lives next door and she is so friendly and welcoming. She gave us tips on where to park for visiting Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon. She has two friendly cats which I adored as we were missing our boy. The cats are not allowed in the barn but we could fuss them in the courtyard. The barn is in the countryside just a forty minute walk to Harrogate town centre and a short walk to RHS Harlow Carr garden. Swallows swoop around the barn and there are sheep and hares in the fields.

The jackdaws make a racket in the early morning but only for five minutes or so. Kate has thoughtfully provided earplugs if you need them. The skylights in the bedroom do not have blinds so if you are prone to waking with the light then it is advisable to take an eye cover so you can sleep though.

"beautiful place in gorgeous countryside but near enough to get to places."

10.0

Lovely location and nice little treats. Beautiful, peaceful setting.

Nothing that could be changed, jackdaws were nesting nearby and were very noisy from first light. Short term problem and didn't detract from our stay too much.
