"Nicely decorated flat, but stone cold and very poor communication from host"

Nicely decorated flat, comfortable beds.

The flat was stone cold when we arrived with all the radiators and boiler off. The thermostat read 10°. After following instruction videos to turn the heating on via the thermostat the flat remained stone cold for 5/6 hours. I messaged the hosts for help and I got through to an air bnb host company who clearly had no knowledge of the heating in the flat. They acted as the go-between between me and the owners of the flat. It was incredibly time consuming and stressful, taking up the whole of our evening to get someone to come out and fix the boiler, thus ruining our plans for our evening meal. I had to record videos of what was wrong and send them to an email address they sent me, as if they didn't really believe that the heating wasn't on. Eventually someone came out after 9pm, they managed to get the boiler working and left without showing any of us what to do if it happened again. In the morning the flat was stone cold again and there was no hot water. I messaged the 'host' via booking.com again and didn't get a reply untill hours later in the day when we were out in Leeds. The communication and responsiveness was incredibly poor. The heating system had a mind of it's own turning on and off at will. It's all well and good having a nicely decorated flat but if it's 10-15° then it''s not fit for habitation.
