Beautiful location, scenery is beautiful. The gatelodge is a great little spot, clean, tidy, all the wee necessities that we needed were there. Highly recommend. John is the perfect host too.

A wonderful stay in beautifully restored Gatelodge. Everything you could wish for is supplied, including welcome items in the fridge. Comfortable bed in lovely furnished very cosy room, WiFi, TV, microwave, kettle & toaster. Great shower & stacks of hot water. Many thanks to excellent host John & team. Another perfect visit! Highly recommend 👌

"Restorative for mind body and soul. Completely easy and comfortable"

Everything we could need with no fuss/ excess responsibilities. Super comfortable stay, very homely feel (an aga!!!) with plenty of space for our family of 6, fantastic showers, John the host super accommodating and approachable. Wonderful onsite river walk, we would’ve had a wonderful stay even if we never left the house! Will hopefully stay again.

Honesty couldn’t think of anything I didn’t like.
