Cozy and modern flat in the heart of Hawick

It’s rather awkward to find! You have to walk up quite a few flights of stairs so luggage had to be left in the car

The apartment was spot on and lacking nothing. Great communication from the host was very helpful to.

Only that it was on the 2nd floor other than that it was great.

Convenient, quite comfortable, good for getting around to the hills. Kitchen was well equipped. Basic info was e-mailed to us beforehand.

There was no information folder to tell us how to operate the [very high-tech] television. Dining table was a high breakfast bar, not the most comfortable.

Absolutely stunning inside..it was in centre of Hawick my home town..was visiting my sister

Flat itself fairly good.

Poor entrance area.

Close to city centre and places to visit and shop.

Free parking is difficult, as I do not park in private areas nor expect to pay to park. Finding the entry from the footpath at night was very difficult as instructions assume daylight. The alley behind the door has a step that is not clearly marked, (paint the edge), the alley light doesn't switch on quickly enough.

Location was excellent for access to the town.Hosts had left everything possibly needed for a very good stay.Above and beyond what we’ve experienced in many hotels etc.

The only downside for us as being in our late 70s access into the flat was up two sets of fairly steep stairs.Also the property was situated on a very hilly path with a steep slope on the road up and down. However as the days went on we got used to this and tried to accept that we were getting good exercise!! On the first night there was a lot of shouting and swearing outside the property in the street into the early hours by a person who was possibly a bit drunk arguing with another person.But all was quieter on the next two nights. We found the parking was very handy and free near the flat.

Area was quite noisy, a lot of derelict run down buildings round about.
