Neighbour has a big dog that jumped on me every time I went outside. I like dogs and this is not a negative review but some people might have a problem with it
GBGBGBGBGreat location for visiting Crewkerne, excellent pre-departure instructions, very well-equipped flat especially the kitchen, comfortable bed, good size shower room with electric shower, plentiful hot water, washing machine. High standard of cleanliness throughout.
Parking was an absolute nightmare - although there is some free on street parking, there were no spaces anywhere near the flat and nowhere to park even temporarily to unload. One guest apparently (according to the guest book) had their car scratched by local people who did not like them parking in a residential road! We eventually found a tiny space which my husband was able to manoevre into with great difficulty but it was a long way away so we had to make several journeys to and from the vehicle to bring our belongings in. And because the road was very busy, I was concerned about the safety of the car all the time we were there. It was a releif to find that it was OK and undamaged in the morning when we came to leave. Also the whole flat was freezing when we arrived on a very cold December day and there were no instructions on how to deal with the stone cold radiators. We managed to get some heat after a while but then we somehow switched the radiators onto constant and could not turn them down so we sweltered in the bedroom overnight. There were no instructions for any of the equipment in the flat including the 3D TV! The dining table and chairs were compact and made the best of the space but they were made of solid material and were very uncomfortable. Luckily we had brought cushions as we were attending an event in the local church (where pews can be uncomfortable) but without these, we would have had to eat our meals sitting on the settee! Also there were no blinds or thick curtains on one of the two windows in the bedroom and as there are street lights outside, the bedroom was brightly lit all night. I know it is a personal preference but we prefer a very dark sleeping environment.
