Rural 17th century barn studio apartment

Great location for exploring Quiet Friendly hosts

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay in Cheriton bishop! We stayed here a couple nights for a wedding at the nearby Eggbeer farm. As we didn’t have a car we were also kindly given a lift to the farm which was very helpful! We were provided with some breakfast items such as cereals, milk and tea, coffee and lemon cake! The

Loved the cozy barn conversation, high ceilings and compactness of the room. It had nice views of the garden and fields. The little kitchen had everything that was required and the bathroom, although small, was perfectly adequate, with a good shower. There was a log burner, but the room had central heating, so didn’t use it. Smart TV if needed and Wi-Fi signal was good. Pub close by, and it serves good grub! Parking at the property.

The bed. I found it really uncomfortable and having decided to stay an extra night had to change our minds as I had two nights of intermittent sleep. On the other hand my husband had no issues at all, he found the bed to be very comfortable 🙄

A lovely self-contained apartment with everything we needed, including a warm welcome and delicious treats in the fridge on arrival. We definitely hope to return next time we're in the area (soon)!

Really comfortable little cottage- the bed is super comfortable, the heating is nice as the winter draws in, there is a television, board games, lots of books, a small kitchen and a very warm shower. It is both cosy and spacious with high ceilings and a nice clean design. The surrounding village is also very cute, and although I didn't go, I heard the pub is really nice! The hosts are also very kind and went out of their way to accommodate me- the food they left was also delicious. Exceeded my expectations - if you are staying in the area I 10/10 recommend!

The only slight issue is the wifi can be a little patchy (works well in the evenings though)which is not too much of a surprise in such a rural location! My data worked very well though so if you need to work or something just bear this in mind.

The owners were really kind and welcoming, The Place was clean and the bed was comfortable with a great shower. The owners went above and beyond by supplying milk, cereal tea and coffee, many other little things were offered too for a last minute stay like toiletries etc. Location was perfect in mid Devon for access to all the county as it's off a major road but situated in a quiet area. We couldn't ask for more!
