"Easy to get to important sites in Edinburgh!"

10.0

Although the apartment is located on a sidestreet similar to an alley, the street was quiet. And, best of all, it was the closest we could get to the important sites in Edinburgh for the least cost per night. We felt safe in and around the property.

"Lovely place to stay"

9.0

The location was really good, walking distance to most attractions so no need to use a car at all. Apartment was clean and very well equipped. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Sofa bed could do with upgrading as it was starting to lose its springs, other then that only a front and back door mat to protect the lovely carpets.

"All the conveniences of home at your disposal"

9.0

Excellent location, walking distance to a lot of things. Just have to read up the map beforehand.

Wish the toilet was bigger, kinda hard for me to maneuver. But it is an old architecture building after all

"Mediocre over-sold accommodate that could be a lot better without much effort"

3.0

Location is pretty useful for getting to most parts of the city. There is adequate TV and WiFi.

You can sum up the feeling of being at this property by saying that they limit the supply of cheap Aldi toilet rolls provided to two per stay, and they left us with a cracked toilet seat held together by sellotape. In fairness they replaced the toilet seat when we reported it, but this was just the tip of the iceberg. The property is cold, with no obvious way to turn on any heating. The kitchen was left in a barely cleaned state, and the carpets could use deep cleaning. The bedding consisted of thin, summer weight duvets. We were all shivering at night. The tiny, mouldy bathroom is equipped with a mediocre shower, with a shower-head pole that's just about managing to remain attached. It's a part of town where there's no chance of parking, but to be fair, we didn't expect to be able to park there. Overall, the property is very oversold. Some of the listings suggest it has laundry facilities, which it doesn't. This pales into insignificance compared with their claim that the property could house 6 adults. Not a chance. There's a master bedroom with a decent double bed. Then there's a second suite that comes off the master. Cosy. This has a "double" bunk bed. That's a three quarter sized double-bed-sized high-rise bunk. Our two children, 8 & 10, had to sleep head to toe in order to fit into the bed, and our 10 year old couldn't sit up in bed as she'd bump her head on the ceiling. Fitting two adults in that space to sleep would be a push. Then there's the worn, uncomfortable, and very grubby sofa bed. It's a three seater sofa that folds out into a sofa bed. We didn't try it. We doubt two adults would be able to use it, unless they happened to be especially well miniaturised. Space in Edinburgh is at a premium, and these old buildings are hard to heat and hard to prevent from getting damp. This building is at the bottom end of welcoming places to stay. We were very relieved to leave.

"Could be nice if properly looked after and cleaned. Way too overpriced for what it was"

4.0

The raised bed was a nice touch for the kids.

Worn down and didn't look like it had been cleaned in a while. Every floor and surface needed cleaning, mould in the bathroom, bin in the bathroom was full with other people's hygiene stuff.
