Hawick Haven

Very clean, easy access, right in the middle of town. Welcome drinks and biscuits, tea, coffee, sugar and milk was very much appreciated as we forgot to bring stuff for a brew. Maggie (host) was very quick to respond to questions before we arrived. Excellent value for money.

The flat was central and had everything that you needed. It was clean and tidy. There was even complimentary fizz and water for us! It was a bit small but sufficient for a couple and it felt warm and cosy. The host was good at communicating with me and very friendly.

There was work going on downstairs but that was not the fault of the host and she let me know.

Lovely small flat, good shower towels and toiletries provided, kitchen with everything we needed for self catering, loved sitting at the table having our breakfast with a nice view of the street, enjoyed the little bottles of bubbly and the chocolate mint you provided too! Slept well, thankyou! hope to return 😀

Some may not cope with stairs..

Comfy bed and shower was good. Good heating and lighting. Kitchen was very small but you could find all the kitchen items you would need for a short stay.

Strong damp smell on entering the building not as strong in the apartment. I felt the ground floor door access, not having a key to lock it, was leaving the place a bit vulnerable. Apartment door was unsuitable as a fire door and was an inside door rather than an exterior door. The bathroom sink tap had very low pressure and it took ages to fill the sink, it wasn't a huge problem for us but others might find it so!

Great location in centre of Hawick. Small bottles of wine provided! Great communication with host. Bedroom is at the back so no noise issues. Very clean and comfortable. Very good value. Check in instructions were accurate.

Nothing really . Lounge was small and kitchen basic but not an issue.

A clean and well furnished small first floor flat in the centre of Hawick. Very good communication with the owner regarding access etc and during the stay. Microwave in the kitchen. Comfortable bed and good shower. The complimentary wine is a nice touch. A great stop on the Border Abbeys Way.

The flat is on quite a busy road but despite this there is little traffic noise when the windows are closed.
