The Little Acorn

Great location in heart of Forest of Dean. It was easy to get to lots of points of interest within 20 mins by car. Right by Forest of Dean railway, pub and post office cafe. The accommodation has a separate and well-resourced kitchen and everything is very clean and cosy - including a hot water bottle! We felt at home straightaway and Michelle was a very friendly and helpful host.

Nothing to dislike unless you require reliable WiFi. That’s not an issue re accommodation, just the reality for the location.

Michelle was so welcoming and sorted us out when we arrived on bikes in a downpour! Very comfy place with everything we needed, great location for exploring the Forest of Dean.

Lovely little annex, met with a smile. Comfy, homely and a great selection of teas, coffees and a lovely touch of shortbread biscuits. We know the area well and as a quick bolt last minute booking this was just what we were looking for. A lovely cafe at the end of the road serving a fab breakfast and a couple of really decent pubs also. Also like a complete idiot, left my wash bag and Michelle has kindly said she will post it back to me. Because of the location the coverage can be a bit on and off, just for information I’m with Vodafone, worked a treat, the wife EE and nothing. So be prepared .

Hosts were very welcoming, and the place was very comfortable and cozy.

There wasn't anything we didn't like it was an amazing weekend away in a lovely cozy place, 10/10 we would definitely go again.

Superb location for The Forest of Dean; tranquil and accessible. Our host went well above and beyond to cater for our needs. Such a lovely, kind person. We had everything we needed including unexpected treats. So pleased we chose this cottage for our short stay.

Tucked away in the Forest of Dean, this cosy annex was the perfect base for our walking adventures. Step outside, and you’re straight onto beautiful woodland trails. Michelle was fantastic—friendly, helpful, and full of brilliant recommendations. She made sure we had everything we needed and suggested local restaurants that did not disappoint.

The property itself was immaculately presented with everything you need for a short stay.
